The Twins Community Fund and 1500 ESPN to Host Second Annual Town Ball Classic

Proceeds Benefit the Twins Community Fund

MINNEAPOLIS/ST. PAUL, MN – The Twins Community Fund and 1500 ESPN announced that they will host the Second Annual Town Ball Classic at Target Field on Saturday, July 23. The Town Ball Classic will feature some of the best men’s amateur baseball teams throughout the state of Minnesota. This one-day event gives six teams the chance to play at Target Field.

Games are set to begin at noon, 2:30 p.m., and 5 p.m.

Class C                  12 p.m. Green Isle Irish vs. Hanska Lakers

Class B                  2:30 p.m. Cold Spring Springers vs. Austin Greyhounds

Class A                  5:00 p.m. Minnetonka Millers vs. Stockmen’s Irish

Tickets are on sale and are $10 for all three games. Teams participating in this year’s event includes the Green Isle Irish, Hanska Lakers, Cold Spring Springers, Austin Greyhounds, Minnetonka Millers and the Stockmen’s Irish.  

Net proceeds from the Town Ball Classic will benefit the Twins Community Fund. The Twins Community Fund supports youth baseball and softball programs throughout Twins Territory. Over the past 25 years the Fund has provided local and regional communities resources for getting more kids in the game through its various grants and programs.
