New Munich 2, Flames 1 (15 innings)

Farming surrendered an unearned run in the bottom of the 15th inning on Sunday and dropped a tough 2-1 decision  to a solid New Munich ballclub.

Farming’s only run came in the first inning on a single from Will Mergen, an HBP by Ethan Navrital, and an RBI single from Robert Schleper scoring Will.   Both Will and Tylor Schroeder had two hits apiece for Farming.  Will also helped to extend the game another inning with a great sliding catch in the bottom of the 13th with a NM runner on third.

After the first inning, we put up a whole bunch of goose eggs against Ty Reller, who went 12 innings and chucked around 170 pitches.

Adam Nibaur went the first seven for Farming, giving up just a run.  Ethan relieved in the eighth and went the rest of the way.  Both guys had great outings.

We are now 3-2 on the season, and head to Richmond next Saturday for a game with the always tough Richmond Royals.  Game time is 1:30pm.
