Back for a fourth season at KNSI with your weekly amateur baseball (Town Team) baseball reports. Including not only game summaries, but upcoming schedules, league standings. Tournament summaries and an occasional special interest feature. The plan is to continue to include: Lakewood League, Central Valley League, Sauk Valley League, Victory League South and Stearns County teams throughout their league playoffs, regional and state tourney games. 

LAKEWOOD LEAGUE 

BEAUDREAU’S SAINTS 9, BRAINERD BEES 2 (6/28 @ Putz)

The Saints defeated the Lakewood League rivals the Bees, backed by the pitching performances of Tommy Auger and Chris Koenig. Tommy started, he threw 6 innings to earn the win, he gave up 7 hits and 2 runs and he recorded 3 strikeouts. Chris Koenig threw 3 innings in relief, he issued 4 walks and he recorded 3 strikeouts. Tommy Auger had a good night a the plate, he went 2-5 with a pair of doubles for 3 RBI’s and he scored a run. Steve Neutzling went 2-2 with a double and 3 walks for 3 RBI’s and he scored a run. Nick Maiers went 2-4 with a double for a RBI and a stolen base and Ryan Schneider went 1-4 with a RBI, he earned a walk and he had a stolen base. Tom Spaniol earned a walk, he was hit by a pitch and he scored a run and Jack Schramel earned a pair of walks, a stolen base and he scored 2 runs. Brian Minks earned a walk and a stolen base, Waylon Bemboom earned a walk and he scored a run and Chad Hockemeyer earned 2 walks and he scored a run. 

The Bees’ Blake Peterson started on the mound, he threw 6 innings, he gave up 3 hits, 8 walks, 3 runs and he recorded 4 strikeouts. Bryan Flanagan went 3-3 with a double for 2 RBI’s and he earned a walk. Blake Peterson went 2-3, he earned 2 walks and he scored a run, Brian Vogt went 1-3 with a double and he earned a walk and Joel Martin went 1-5 and he scored a run.

CENTRAL VALLEY LEAGUE

LUXEMBURG BREWERS 3, ST. AUGUSTA GUSSIES 2 (7/1 @ Luxemburg)

The Brewers won a big Central Valley League game over their rivals, the Gussies. The Brewers got five hits, including a pair of doubles, that was all the support their starting pitcher needed. Isaac Matchinsky, started on the mound, he threw a complete game to earn the win. He gave up 6 hits, 1 walk, 2 runs and he recorded 8 strikeouts. Ethyn Fruth went 1-3 with a double for 2 big RBI’s and Derrik Orth went 1-3 with a double, he earned walk and he scored a run. Chase Aleshire went 1-3, he earned a walk and he scored a run and Colton Fruth went 1-4 with a stolen base. John Fish went 1-2 with a walk, Isaac Matchinsky earned a walk and he scored a run and Rhett Fruth had a sacrifice bunt. 

The Gussies’ Zach Laudenbach started on the mound, he threw 8 innings, he scattered 5 hits, he issued 4 walks, 3 runs and he recorded 7 strikeouts. Nate Gwost went 2-4 with 2 RBI’s, Adam Gwost went 1-4 with a double and Matt Skaja wen 1-4 with a double. Brady Grafft went 1-3, he earned walk and he scored both of their runs and Aaron Fruth went 1-4.  

COLD SPRING ROCKIES 11, KIMBALL EXPRESS 10 (7/2 @ Kimball) 

The Rockies defeated the Central Valley rivals the Express in a come from behind effort by this young team. The Rockies put up 3 runs early to hold the lead, the Express put up 2 in the 5th and 3 in the 6th to take a 5-3 led and they added 3 more in the 7th. This gave the Express a 8-3 led after 7 innings. The Rockies put up 6 runs in the 8th inning to give them the led going into the 9th. The Express answered with a run to take it into the 10th inning, the Rockies put 2 runs and the Express could only answer with 1 run. The Rockies, Ryan Hennen, started on the mound, he threw 5 2/3 innings, he gave up 8 hits, 2 walks, 5 runs and he recorded 5 strikeouts. Jake Brinker threw 3 1/3 innings in relief to earn the win. He gave up 8 hits, 4 walks, 4 runs and he recorded 2 strikeouts. David Jonas threw 1 inning relief to earn the save, he gave up 2 hits, 1 run and he recorded 2 strikeouts. Patrick Hemingson had a big game, he went 2-4 with a double for 4 big RBI’s and David Jonas went 1-5 with a big double for 2 RBI’s and he scored a run. Marshal Wirtzfeld had a good game, he went 2-6 with a double and he scored 2 runs and Jordan Neu went 2-6 with a RBI. Blake Holbrook went 2-4 with a stolen base, he was hit by a pitch and he scored 2 runs. Jake Hennen wen 1-5 with a RBI and he scored 2 runs and Cole Field went 1-2 with a RBI and he scored a run. Mason Ruegemer was credited with a RBI, he had a stolen base and he scored a run, player/manager Reece Hemmesch was credited with a RBI by way of fielders choice and Nick Skluzacek was hit by a pitch and he scored a run.  

The Express collected 18 hits, but they left 11 runners stranded on the bases as they fell short to the young team from Cold Spring. Zach Dingmann, started on the mound, he threw 7 innings, he gave up just 4 hits, 1 walk, 3 runs and he recorded 6 strikeouts. Matt Dingmann threw 2/3 of a inning in relief, he gave up 4 hits, 6 runs and he recorded 1 strikeout. Brooks Marquardt threw 1 2/3 innings in relief, he was the pitcher of record, he gave up 2 hits, 1 walk, 2 runs and he recorded 2 strikeouts. Jordan Joseph threw the final inning in relief, he gave up 1 hit and he recorded a strikeout. Brian Marquardt had a good game, he went 5-6 with 2 RBI’s and he scored 2 runs. Jordan Joseph had a big game, he went 4-5 with a walk, sacrifice fly, a stolen base and he scored 3 runs. Kyle Winter went 3-4 with a RBI, he earned a walk and he scored a run. Joey VonWahlde went 2-4 with 2 RBI’s and he earned a walk and Brooks Marquardt went 1-4 with a sacrifice fly for a RBI, a stolen base and he scored a run. Adam Beyer went 2-5 with a walk and he scored 2 runs, Matt Dingmann was credited with a RBI, he walked and he had a sacrifice bunt, Austin Ruehle was credited with a pair of RBI’s and he earned a walk and Troy Filzen went 1-1 for a RBI. 

ST. AUGUSTA GUSSIES 13, EDEN VALLEY HAWKS 3 (8 inn.) (7/2 @ St. Augusta)

The Gussies defeated their Central Valley League foes the Hawks, backed by 15 hits, including 6 extra base hits. Travis Laudenbach, started on the mound, he threw 6 innings to earn the win. He gave up just 3 hits, 2 walks, 2 runs and he recorded 5 strikeouts. Luke Richardson threw 2 innings in relief, he gave up 3 hits, 2 walks, 1 run and he recorded 3 strikeouts. Nate Gwost went 2-4 with a double for 3 RBI’s and he scored 2 runs and Nate Laudenbach went 1-4 with a home run and a sacrifice fly for 3 RBI’s, he walked, had a stolen base and he scored 2 runs. Matt Skaja went 2-4 with a double for 2 RBI’s, a stolen base and he scored a run and Brady Grafft went 2-4 with 2 doubles, he was hit by a pitch and he scored 2 runs. Adam Gwost went 3-3 with a double for a RBI, was hit by a pitch, he walked and he scored a run and Mitchell Gwost went 1-3 with a RBI, he walked, he was hit by a pitch and he scored a run. Michael Laudenbach went 2-3 with a RBI and player/manager Dustin Schultzenburg went 1-2 with a sacrifice fly for a RBI and he scored a run. Aaron Fruth went 1-3 with a pair of walks and he scored 2 runs, Marcus Lommel was credited with a RBI and he had a stolen base and Adam Benoit earned a walk and he scored a run. 

The Hawks’ Tanner Olean started on the mound, he threw 2 1/3 innings, he gave up 9 hits, 2 walks, 9 runs and he recorded 2 strikeouts. Austin Berg threw 1 2/3 innings in relief, he gave up 1 hit, 1 walk and 1 run and Zach Schlangen threw 3 2/3 innings, he gave up 5 hits, 3 walks, 3 runs and he recorded 3 strikeouts. Alex Geislinger went 2-3 with a double for a RBI and he walked and scored a run. David Pennertz went 2-4 with 2 RBI’s and Tanner Olean went 1-4 and he scored a run. Steve Pennertz went 1-3 with a walk, Matt Lies earned a walk and he scored a run and Austin Berg earned a walk. 

LUXEMBURG BREWERS 14, PEARL LAKE LAKERS 3 (7 inn.) (7/2 @ Luxemburg)

The Brewers defeated the Central Valley League rivals the Lakers, backed by 16 hits, five players with multi-hit games. Chase Aleshire, started on the mound, he threw 6 innings, he gave up 6 hits, issued 3 walks, 2 runs and he recorded 9 strikeouts. Isaac Matchinsky had a great game, he went 3-4 with a home run and a double for 2 RBI’s and he scored 3 runs. Luke Harren had a good game, he went 3-4 with a RBI, a walk, 2 stolen bases and he scored a run. Sam Iten had a good game, he went 3-5 with a home run for 2 RBI’s  and he scored 2 runs. J. T. Harren went 3-3 with a RBI, he earned a walk and he scored a run and Colton Fruth went 2-3 with a RBI and he scored 2 runs. Logan Aleshire went 1-4 with a home run for 3 RBI’s, he earned a walk and the crafty veteran, Derrick Orth went 1-4 with a home run for 2 RBI’s and he scored 2 runs and Chase Aleshire had a sacrifice fly for a RBI and he scored a run.

The Lakers’ Isaac Blitvich started on the mound, he threw 2 innings, he was the pitcher of record. Derrick Garding threw 6 innings in relief, he gave up 10 hits, 4 run and he issued 2 walks. Justin Kunkel went 1-3 with a double for 2 RBI’s and Craig Pfannenstein went 2-3. Chad Kunkel went 1-3 with a walk and he scored a run and Ryan Wieneke went 1-2 with a walk, he was hit by a pitch and he scored a run. Mitch Kunkel went 1-3, Steve Krippner scored a run and Andy Linn earned a walk.

SAUK VALLEY LEAGUE

SARTELL MUSKIES 6, ST. JOSEPH JOES 5 (7/1 @ Sartell)

The Muskies come from behind, with a big 4 run rally in the 9th inning to defeat their Sauk Valley League rival the Joes. The Joes took a early led, they put up 3 runs in the 2nd inning, Muskies got 1 in the 5th and the Joes two more in the 7th inning. It was 5-1 going into the 8th inning, when the Muskies added one. With the scored at 5-2, the Muskies got 5 hits and a walk for it up 4 runs for the big win. Max Koprek, started on the mound, he threw 6 2/3 innings, he gave up 8 hits, 3 walks, 5 runs and he recorded 1 strikeout. John Schumer, threw 2 1/3 innings in relief, to earn the win, he gave up a hit and he recorded a strikeout. Andrew Deters went 1-6 with 2 big RBI’s, including the walk off in the 9th inning. Grant Mackenthun went 2-4 with a double for a RBI and he scored a run and Austin Gohl went 2-5 with 2 RBI’s and he scored a pair of runs. Dan O’Connell went 1-3 with a double, he earned a walk and he scored a run and Brian Schellinger went 1-4 and earned a walk. Braedan Dykhuizen went 1-3 with a big sacrifice bunt the 8th inning and he was hit by a pitch. Cody Partch earned 2 walks, he was hit by a pitch and he scored a run, Adam Wenker earned a pair of walks and he scored a run and Johnny Schumer was hit by a pitch. The Muskies did leave 13 base runners stranded thru out the game. 

The Joes’ Joey Stock started on the mound, he threw 6 innings, he gave up just 1 hit, 4 walks, 1 run and he recorded 8 strikeouts. Joey Atkinson threw 2 2/3 innings in relief, he gave up 6 hits, 2 walks and 5 runs. Peter Nelson had a good game, he went 2-5 with a RBI and he scored a run and Joey Atkinson went 1-3 with a RBI, he was hit twice by a pitch and he scored a run. Tanner Bloomer had a big game, he went 4-4 and he scored a run and Ethan Carlson went 1-4 with a big 2 run home run in the 7th inning and he earned a walk. Hunter Bloomer went 1-4, Joey Stock earned a walk and Eric Vigil earned a walk and he scored a run.   

SARTELL MUSKIES 5, FOLEY LUMBERJACKS 1 (6/28 @ Sartell)

The Muskies stayed unbeaten in the Sauk Valley League, by defeating their rivals the Lumberjacks. They collected 12 hits and had a good pitching performance by David Deminsky. “DD” started for the Muskies on the mound, he threw 7 innings, to earn the win. He scattered 8 hits, issued 1 walk, 1 run and he recorded 11 strikeouts. Cody Partch threw two very good innings in relief, he issued a walk and he recorded 2 strikeouts. Cody Partch had a good night at the plate, he went 2-3 with 2 doubles and a sacrifice fly for a RBI and he scored a run. Jonah Nebosis had a big night, he went 3-4 with a RBI and he scored a run. Tim Burns went 2-4 with a RBI and he was hit by a pitch and Brian Schellinger went 2-3. John Schumer went 1-4 with a sacrifice fly for a RBI and Adam Schellinger earned a pair of walks and he was hit by a pitch. Jake Sweeter went 1-4 with a walk and Luke Sweeter was hit by a pitch and he scored a run.  

The Lumberjacks’ Cameron Jurek started on the mound, he threw 4 innings, he gave up 6 hits, 4 walks, 5 runs and he recorded 4 strikeouts. Sam Keeler threw 2 innings in relief, he gave up 3 hits. Kyle Kipka threw 1 1/3 innings, he gave up a hit and player/manager Mike Beier threw 2/3 of a inning he gave up 2 hits. Joe Ziwick went 1-5 with a RBI and Tyler Long went 1-4 with a double and he earned a walk. Kyle Kipka went 2-4 and Joel Bollig went 1-2, he earned a walk and he scored their lone run. Sam Keeler, Noah Winkelman and Ean VanWold all went 1-4.  

SARTELL MUSKIES 9, CLEAR LAKE LAKERS 3 (7/2 @ Sartell)  

The Muskies defeated their Sauk Valley League rivals the Lakers, backed by 12 hits and a good pitching performance by the veteran right hander, Adam Wenker. Adam started on the mound, he scattered 7 hits, issued no walks, surrendered 3 runs and he recorded 10 strikeouts to earn the win. Lefty Johnny Schumer, closed it out with an inning of relief, he gave up a hit and he recorded a strikeout. Joh Schumer went 2-4 with 2 RBI’s, he was hit by a pitch and he scored a 2 runs and Jace Otto went 2-5 with a double for 2 RBI’s and he scored a run. Cody Partch went 2-5 with 2 RBI’s and Tim Burns went 1-4 with a double for a RBI, he walked and he scored 2 runs. Dan O’Connell went 2-4 and he was hit by a pitch and Adam Wenker went 1-4 and he earned a walk. Paul Schumer went 1-4 and he scored a run, Braden Dykhuizen went 1-4 and he scored a run and Brian Schellinger earned a walk and he scored a pair of runs. This ended a streak of 7 games in 9 days, where they went 6-1, they will enjoy a few days away from the diamond.  

The Lakers’ Mike Smith started on the mound, he threw 4 innings, he gave up 7 hits, 3 walks, 9 runs and he recorded a strikeouts. Cory Schmidt threw 4 innings in relief, he gave up 5 hits and he recorded 3 strikeouts. Cole Gueningsman went 1-4 with a triple for 2 RBI’s and a stolen base. Jake Samuelson went 1-4 with a RBI and he scored a run and Mike Smith went 2-2 with a double and he scored a run. Noah Vogt went 1-4 with a double, Cory Schmidt went 2-4 and Tyler Carper went 1-3.  

ST. JOSEPH JOES 7, ALBERTVILLE VILLAINS 4 (7/2 @ St. Joseph) 

The Joes defeated their Sauk Valley League foe the Villains, backed by 11 hits for their starting pitcher, Greg Anderson. He threw a complete game, he scattered 10 hits, issued 2 walks, surrendered 4 runs and he recorded 9 strikeouts. Peter Nelson went 2-5 with a double for 2 RBI’s and he scored 2 runs. Joey Atkinson went 1-3 with a RBI, he earned 2 walks and he scored a run. Ethan Carlson went 1-4 with a sacrifice fly for 2 RBI’s and Brandon Bloch went 2-3 with a double and a sacrifice bunt. Joe Stock went 1-3, he earned a walk and he scored a run and Zach Overboe went 1-2 and he scored a run. Hunter Blommer went 1-2 with a RBI, a stolen base and he scored a run, Tanner Blommer went 1-3 with a sacrifice bunt, Isaac Holthaus went 1-1 and Caz Novak scored a run.  

The Villains’ Steven VanVleet started on the mound, he threw 6 innings, issued 3 walks, 1 run and he recorded 2 strikeouts. Mike Wallace threw 1 2/3 innings, he gave up 6 hits, and 6 runs and Josh Schmidt retired one batter. Keith Bistodeau went 2-4 with a home run for 2 RBI’s and Mike Krempa went 1-4 with a double for 2 RBI’s and he earned a walk. Dylan Fox went 2-5 with a double and he scored a run and Trent Vogt went 2-5 and he scored 2 runs. Brandon Berning went 2-5, Mike Wallace went 1-4 and Steven VanVleet was hit by a pitch. 

BECKER BANDITS 5, SARTELL STONE PONEYS 4 (6/29 @ Sartell)

The Bandits defeated their Sauk Valley rivals the Stone Poneys, backed by 12 hits, including four ball players with multi-hits. The Bandits, Cody Gruenhagen, started on the mound, he threw 6 innings to earn the win. He gave up just 3 hits, 2 walks, 3 runs and he recorded 6 strikeouts. The Bandits put up 3 runs in the first inning and they added single runs in the 4th and the 5th innings, to hold off the Poneys. Ryan Sommerdorf had a good game, he went 3-5 with a double for a 2 RBI’s and Matt Yoerg had a good night, he went 3-5 with a double for a RBI and he scored a run. Matt Conzemius went 2-4 with a RBI  and Conner Rolf went 2-5 and he scored a run. Cody Gruenhagen went 1-4 with a RBI, he earned a walk and he scored a run, Hayden Fassler went 1-5 with a double and he scored a run and Jon Crowley earned a walk and he scored a run. 

The Stone Poneys’ Nate Nierenhausen started on the mound, he threw 7 2/3 innings, he gave up 11 hits, 2 walks, 5 runs and he recorded 3 strikeouts. Andrew Kinney threw 1 1/3 innings in relief, he gave up one hit. Teddy Flemming had good game, he went 2-5 with a RBI and Matt Mauer had a good night, he went 3-4 with 3 stolen bases and he scored 2 runs. Shawn Lindsay went 1-5 with a RBI and Jim Gabrielson went 1-5 with a stolen base. Cody Rose went 1-4 and Brandon Reinking earned a pair of walks and he had a stolen base. Josh Schaefer earned a walk and he scored a run, Jeff Amann was hit by a pitch and he scored a run and Pat Dolan was credited with a RBI and he scored a run.

The Lakers defeated their Stearns County South foes the Rangers, backed by 15 hits, including 6 extra base hits. The Lakers, Weston Brinkman started on the mound, he threw 6 innings to earn the win. He gave up just 4 hits, 3 walks and he recorded 4 strikeouts. Jason Kampson threw 3 innings in relief, he gave up 2 hits, 1 walk and he recorded 2 strikeouts. Shane Kampson went 2-6 with a big home run for 4 RBI’s and Carter Wesll went 2-2 with a double for a RBI. Matt Quade had a big game, he went 4-5 with 2 home runs and a double for 2 RBI’s, he was hit by a pitch and he scored 2 runs. Ryan Wuertz went 2-3 with a double and he scored a run and Grant Ludwig went 1-3 with a RBI and he earned a pair of walks. Josh Kampson went 1-3, he was hit by a pitch and he scored a run and Jason Kampson went 1-5 and he scored a run. The Lakers defeated their Victory League South rivals the Steves, backed by 10 hits, including a pair of big doubles. Kyle Collins, started on the mound for the Lakers, he threw 7 innings to earn the win. He gave up just 4 hits, 5 walks, 2 runs and he recorded 3 strikeouts.  Adam Harlander threw 2 innings in relief to earn the save, he issued a walk and he recorded a strikeout. Will Kleinschmitt went 2-3 with a double for 2 big RBI’s and he was hit by a pitch. Caleb Curry went 2-4, he earned walk, 2 stolen bases and he scored a run and Tony Schoenberg went 1-2 with a stolen base and he scored a run. Matt Meyer went 1-5 and Carter Holthaus went 1-3 and he earned a walk. RANDALL CUBS 8, FREEPORT BLACK SOX 3 (6/30 @ Freeport)

The Cubs defeated their Victory League foe the Black Sox, backed by a great game by their starting pitcher, Brett Strack. He started on the mound, he threw 8 innings, he gave up 7 hits, 2 walks, 1 run and he recorded 7 strikeouts. Dusty Parker threw 1 inning in relief, he gave up 2 hits, 2 walks, 2 runs and he recorded a strikeout. Brett also had a good night at the plate, he went 2-5 with a double for 5 big RBI’s, he scored a run and he was hit by a pitch. The Lakers defeated their Victory League South foe the Bears, backed by the pitching performances by Will Kleinschmitt and Cody Stich. Will started on the mound, he threw 7 innings to earn the win. He gave up 4 hits, 1 walk, 1 run and he recorded 4 strikeouts. Cody Stich threw the final 2 innings in relief. Carter Holthaus went 1-3 with a RBI and he earned a walk and Caleb Curry went 2-4 with a double. Matt Meyer went 1-3 with a RBI and he scored a run and Jon Bauer went 1-2 and he scored a run. Josh Becker went 1-4 and Tony Schoenberg went 1-2. Will Kleinschmitt scored a run, Zac Tomsche scored a run and Riley Voit went 3-4 with home run for 3 RBI’s.

The Cubs defeated their Victory League foe the Saints, backed by good pitching performances by Rick Drew and Derek Poser. Rick started on the mound, he threw 6 innings, he gave up 4 hits, 4 walks, 2 runs and he recorded 2 strikeouts. Derek Poser threw 3 innings in relief to earn the win. Mitch Loegering had a great night at the plate, he went 3-5 with a home run and a double for 2 RBI’s and he scored 2 runs. David Kroger had a great night, he went 2-4 with a home run and a double, he earned a walk and he scored a run. Tyler Bjork had a great game, he went 2-5 with 2 doubles for 4 big RBI’s and he scored 2 runs. Bo Schmitz went 1-3 with a double for a RBI, he was hit by a pitch, he had a stolen base and he scored a run. He gave up just 3 hits, 1 run and he recorded 12 strikeouts. Andy Thayer threw 1 inning of relief, he gave up 3 hits, 1 walk, 3 runs and he recorded 2 strikeouts. Jeff Hille threw the final inning in relief, he recorded a strikeout. Casey Lynch had a good game, he went 2-4 with a double for 2 RBI’s and he scored a run. Jeff Hille went 2-3 with a double and he scored a run and Zach Fuecker went 1-2 with a RBI, he earned a walk and he scored 2 runs. The Brewers of the Central Valley League, defeated the Stearns County League foe the Royals, backed by 10 hits and a very good pitching performance. The Brewers, Mitch Ergen, started on the mound, he threw a complete game, he gave up just 3 hits, 1 walk and he recorded 3 strikeouts. Player/manager, Cory Wenz had a very good game, he went 3-3 with a double for 3 big RBI’s. Derek Orth went 1-3 with a double for a RBI, he earned a walk ad he scored 2 runs. Chase Aleshire had a good game, he went 2-4 with a double and he scored 2 runs. Colton Fruth went 2-3, Ethyn Fruth went 1-2 with a walk and Casey Underwood went 1-3 with a walk.  

The Royals’ Scott Ruegemer started on the mound, he threw a complete game, he scattered 10 hits, 3 walks, 4 runs and he recorded 4 strikeouts. Connor Dols went 1-3, Scott Ruegemer went 1-3, Dylan Jude went 1-2 and Kyle Budde earned a walk.

The Clippers defeated their Victory League South foe the Lakers, backed by 13 hits, great support for their starting pitch, Matt Geislinger. Play/Manager, Matt threw 7 innings, he gave up 3 hits, 1 walk and he recorded 16 strikeouts. Logan Linn threw 1 inning in relief, he recorded a strikeout. Kevin Kramer had a big game, he went 3-4 with a home run for 3 big RBI’s and he scored 3 runs. Adam Hiltner went 1-3 with home run and Dustin Kramer had a good game he went 3-4 and he scored 3 runs. Dan Sargent had a good night, he went 2-4 with 3 RBI’s and a stolen base. Tyler Hebrink went 2-4 with a RBI, Lincoln Haugen went 1-3 with a sacrifice fly for a RBI and Heath Kramer went 1-3 with a RBI and he scored a run. Gary Peters, didn’t get any hits, but he was busy, he earned a pair of walks, scored 3 runs and he had a stolen base and Matt Geislinger scored a run. 

The Lakers’ Shane Olmscheid started on the mound, he threw 4 innings, he gave up 5 hits, 1 walk, 4 runs and he recorded 2 strikeouts. Tony Schoenberg threw 3 innings in relief, he gave up 6 hits, 1 walk, 6 runs and he recorded 2 strikeouts. Matt Meyer went 2-4, Cody Stich went 1-3 and Caleb Curry earned a walk.

The Express defeated their Sauk Valley League foe the Muskies, backed by 10 hits, including five extra base hits. The Express’s, Joey VonWahlde started on the mound, he threw 7 innings to earn the win. He scattered 5 hits, 1 walk and he recorded 3 strikeouts. Matt Dingmann threw the final inning in relief, he recorded a pair of strikeouts. Adam Beyer had a good night, he went 2-5 with a double for 2 RBI’s and he scored 1 run. Adam also made a sensational catch in right field to likely save a couple of runs. Ben Johnson had a good game, he went 2-5 with a home run for 2 RBI’s and he scored a pair of runs, in addition a great game at catcher. Jordan Joseph, he a good game, he went 1-2 with a double and a sacrifice fly for 3 RBI’s, he earned a pair of walks and he scored a run. Jordan also made a great catch at his short stop position, that may have save at least one run, after being gone on his honey moon, hasn’t slowed him down. Scott Marquardt went 1-1 with a double, he earned 2 walks, he was hit by a pitch, a stolen base and he scored a run. Troy Filzen went 1-3 with a double  for 2 RBI’s, he walked and he scored a run. Brain Marquardt went 1-3, he earned 2 walks and he scored a run and Joey VonWahlde went 2-5 and he scored 2 runs. Brooks Marquardt was hit by a pitch and he scored a run and Matt Dingmann earned a pair of walks and he was credited with a RBI. 

The Muskies were playing their fifth game in seven days, they were showing some signs of a little fatigue. Travis “give it a ride” Weaver started on the mound, he threw 4 innings, he gave up 5 hits, 3 walks, 5 runs and he recorded 2 strikeouts. Paul Schumer threw 3 2/3 innings in relief, this his first time on the mound in nearly 3 years, he gave up 5 hits, 6 walks and 5 runs. John Schumer went 2-4, Tim Burns went 1-4, Brian Schellinger went 1-2 and David Deminsky went 1-1. Jake Sweeter earned a walk, Cody Partch was hit by a pitch and Dan O’Connell earned a walk.

The Flames defeated their Central Valley League foe the Lakers, backed by 16 hits, five players with multi-hit games. Tylor Schroder started on the mound, he threw 3 innings and Father Aaron Nett threw 6 innings to earn the win. Mitchell Thelen had a big night, he went 3-4 with 4 RBI’s and he scored 2 runs. Chris Wehseler had a good game, he went 2-4 with a double for a RBI and he scored a run. Dylan Panek went 2-4 with a double for a RBI and Aaron Eiynck went 2-4. Kyle Zierden went 1-3 with 2 RBI’s, he was hit by a pitch and he scored a run and Craig Klein went 1-3 with a double for a RBI, he walked and he scored a run. Mac Carlson went 2-4 with a sacrifice fly for a RBI and Tylor Schroeder went 1-3 with a RBI, a walk and he scored a run. The Villains, Trent Vogt started on the mound, he threw 3 innings, he gave up 3 hits, 3 runs and he recorded 3 strikeouts. Steve VanVleet threw 5 innings in relief to earn the win, he gave up 3 hits, 1 walk, 1 run and he recorded 3 strikeouts. Trent Vogt went 1-2 with home run for 2 RBI’s, he walked, was hit by a pitch, had a stolen base and he scored 2 runs. Todd Klaers went 1-4 with a double for a RBI and he scored a run and Mike Krempa went 2-3 with a RBI and he earned a walk.
