KNSI’s Central Minnesota Town Ball Round-up (June 16-18)

Back for a fourth season at KNSI with your weekly amateur baseball (Town Team) baseball reports. Including not only game summaries, but upcoming schedules, league standings. Tournament summaries and an occasional special interest feature. The plan is to continue to include: Lakewood League, Central Valley League, Sauk Valley League, Victory League South and Stearns County teams throughout their league playoffs, regional and state tourney games. 

CENTRAL VALLEY LEAGUE

KIMBALL EXPRESS 6, EDEN VALLEY HAWKS 2 (6/18 @ Kimball)

The Express defeated their Central Valley rivals the Hawks, backed by 12 hits, including four extra base hits. The Express’s, Matt Dingmann, started on the mound, he threw 7 innings to earn the win. He scattered 5 hits, 3 walks, 2 runs and he recorded 3 strikeouts. 

Andy Dingmann, threw 2 innings in relief to earn the save, he gave up 3 hits, 2 walks and he recorded 2 strikeouts. Ben Johnson had a good game, he went 3-4 with a home run and Zach Sufka went 2-4 with 2 RBI. Adam Beyer went 2-4 with a double and Scott Marquardt went 1-4 with a double for 2 RBI and he scored a run. Brooks Marquardt went 1-3 with a home run, Joey VonWahlde went 2-4 and he scored 2 runs and Kyle Winter went 1-3, he was hit by a pitch and he scored a run.  

The Hawks’ Tanner Olean started on the mound, he threw 7 innings, he gave up 12 hits, 1 walk, 6 runs and he recorded 10 strikeouts. Austin Berg thew the final inning in relief. Tanner Olean went 2-4 with a double for a RBI and he scored a run and Austin Berg went 2-3 with a double and he earned a walk. Austin Schlangen went 1-4 with a double and Zach Schlangen went 1-4. Alex Geislinger had a RBI and he earned a walk, Matthew Pennertz went 1-1, Steven Pennertz went 1-1, Matt Lies walked and he scored a run and Matt Unterberger earned a walk. 

WATKINS CLIPPERS 4, LUXEMBURG BREWERS 2 (6/16 @ Watkins)

The Clippers defeated the Brewers, their Central Valley rivals, backed by runs they put up on the board early. The Clippers, Matt Geislinger, started on the mound, the lefty threw a complete game, He gave up 5 hits, 2 walks, 2 runs and he recorded 11 strikeouts. Brendan Ashton had a good game, he went 2-4 with a double for a RBI and veteran Dan Berg went 2-3 with a RBI, one stolen base, a walk and he scored a run. Lincoln Haugen went 2-4 with a double and he scored a run.  Tyler Hebrink went 1-4 with a RBI. Kevin Kramer went 1-4 and he scored a run, Dan Sargent earned a walk, he was hit by a pitch, one stolen base and he scored a run and Gary Peters earned a walk.

The Brewers’ lefty Austin Klaverkamp also threw a complete game, he scattered 8 hits, 4 walks, 4 runs and he recorded 4 strikeouts. Austin Klaverkamp went 1-3 at the plate, with a double for a RBI and he scored a run. Colton Fruth went 1-3 and he was hit by a pitch and Ethyn Fruth went 1-4. Derrick Orth went 1-4 and Luke Harren went 1-3 with a walk.  

LUXEMBURG BREWERS 4, COLD SPRING ROCKIES 0 (6/14 @ Cold Spring)

The Brewers defeated their Central Valley League rivals, the Rockies, backed by 11 hits, and two of good pitching performances. Isaac Matchinsky started on the mound for the Brewers, he threw 5 innings to earn the win, he gave up just 1 hit, 4 walks and he recorded 6 strikeouts. Mitch Ergen threw 4 innings in relief, to earn the save, he gave up 4 hits, 2 walks and he recorded 5 strikeouts. Derrick Orth had a great night at the plate, he went 2-3 with a triple and a double for 2 RBI, he earned a pair of walks and he scored one run. Derrick also made several nice plays from his 3rd base position. Austin Klaverkamp had a good game, he went 2-5 with 2 big RBI and Sam Iten went 2-5 with a stolen base and he scored a run. Isaac Matchinsky went 2-5, Luke Harren went 1-3 with a walk and J T Harren went 1-1 and he scored a run. Ethyn Fruth earned a pair of walks, and Chase Aleshire and Tanner Skaja both earned walks. 

The Rockies’ Jordan Neu, started on the mound, he threw 6 innings, he gave up 6 hits, 3 walks, 2 runs and he recorded 2 strikeouts. David Jonas threw 3 innings in relief, he gave up 5 hits, 1 walk, 2 runs and he recorded 3 strikeouts. Kevin Wenner went 1-4 with a walk and 2 stolen bases and Jake Hennen went 1-3 with a double and he earned a walk. Calvin Kalthoff went, Marshal Wirtzfeld went 1-4 and Cold Field went 1-3. Austin Dufner earned 4 walks, Pat Hemingson had a sacrifice bunt and he was hit by a pitch and David Jonas was hit by a pitch. 

ST. NICHOLAS NICKS 6, PEARL LAKE LAKERS 2 (6/18 @ St. Nicholas)

The Nicks defeated their Central Valley League rivals the Lakers, backed by 12 hits and a good pitching performance. Grant Mrozek started on the mound, he threw a complete game, to earn the win. He scattered 7 hits, 1 walk, 2 runs and he recorded 2 strikeouts. Matt Schindler had a good game, he went 3-5 with a double for a RBI and player/manager Robert Lutgen went 2-5 with a double and he scored a run. Travis Hanson went 2-4 with a RBI, he was hit by a pitch and he scored a run. Sam Moriarty went 1-4 with 2 RBI and he earned a walk and Tanner Anderson wen 1-4 with a walk and he scored 2 runs. Jon Hoper went 1-4 with a walk and he scored a run and Brett Hofer had a sacrifice fly for a RBI. Hunter Ahrens and Andrew Bautch both went 1-4 for the Nicks.

The Lakers’ Mitch Wieneke started on the mound, he was the pitcher of record. Steve Krippner went 1-4 with  2 RBI and he scored a run and Mitch Kunkel went 3-3 with a walk. Ryan Wieneke went 1-3, he scored a run and he was hit by a pitch, Chad Kunkel went 1-4 and Mitch Wieneke went 1-4.

SARTELL MUSKIES 8, ALBERTVILLE VILLAINS 2 (6/17 @ Albertville)

The Muskies defeated the Sauk Valley foe the Villains, backed by 14 hits and a good pitching performance by a pair of the Muskies pitchers. Lefty David Deminsky, started on the mound, he threw 5 innings, he gave up just 2 hits, 4 walks, 1 run and he recorded 9 strikeouts, to earn the win. Max Koprek, threw 4 innings in relief, he gave up 3 hits, 1 run and he recorded one strikeout. Adam Schellinger went 2-5 with a RBI and one stolen base and Brian Schellinger went 2-4 with a walk, stolen base and he scored a run. Jace Otto went 2-4 with a home run, a walk and he scored 2 runs and Braeden Dykhuzian went 2-2 with 2 RBI, a sacrifice bunt, a stolen base, he was hit by a pitch and he scored a run. Dan O’Connell went 2-5 with a double and he scored a run Cody Partch went 1-5 with a big double for 3 RBI and David Deminsky went 1-3 with a double, a walk and he scored 2 runs and Tim Burns earned a walk and he scored a run. 

The Villains’ Todd Klaers, started on the mound, he threw 8 innings, he gave up 12 hits, 2 walks, 5 runs and he recorded 4 strikeouts.  Trent Vogt threw 1 inning in relief, he gave up 2 hits, 3 walks and he recorded 2 strikeouts. Todd Klaers went 2-3 with a double, a walk and he scored a run. Keith Bistodeau went 1-4 with a double and Trent Vogt went 1-4 with a walk and he scored a run. Dylan Fox went 1-4 with a walk, Will Berning was hit by a pitch, and Jim Althoff earned a walk.  

ST. JOSEPH JOES 11, BECKER BANDITS 0 (7 inn.) (6/18 @ Becker)

The Joes remained unbeaten in the Sauk Valley League, after they defeated the Bandits, backed by 14 hits, including five players with multi-hit games. The Joes, Jack Atkinson, started on the mound, he threw 5 innings to earn the win. He gave up just one hit, one walk and he recorded 2 strikeouts. Nathan Mohs, threw 2 innings in relief, he gave up 2 hits, and he recorded a strikeout. Peter Nelson had a good game, he went 2-5 with a RBI, 3 stolen bases and he scored 2 runs. Ethan Carlson had a good day, he went 2-4 with a double for a RBI and he scored a run. Brandon Bloch went 2-3 with a RBI and he scored a run and Caz Novak went 2-3 with a RBI and he scored a run. Joey Atkinson went 2-5 with 2 stolen bases and Ben Alvord went 1-3 with a RBI, he was hit by a pitch and he scored a run. Zach Overboe went 1-4 with a RBI and he scored a run and Alex Kendall went 1-3 and he scored a run. Joey Stock, Charles Vaughn and Jack Grell all scored run for the Joes.  

The Bandits’ Cole Hanson, started on the mound, he threw 4 2/3 innings, he gave up 10 hits, 1 walk, 9 runs and he recorded 4 strikeouts. Brian Kolbinger threw 2 1/3 innings in relief, he gave up 3 hits, 2 runs and he recorded a strikeout. Austin Rasmussen went 1-3 with a 2 stolen bases, Hayden Fassler went 1-3 and Kevin Krenz went 1-1. 

ST. JOESPH JOES 22, SARTELL STONE PONEYS 15 (6/16 @ Sartell)

The Joes stayed unbeaten in Sauk Valley play, with a big win over the Stone Poneys. The Joes collected 21 hits, including five individuals having multi-hit games. The Joe’s, Greg Anderson, starting on the mound, threw 8 2/3 innings, he gave up 15 hits, 3 walks, 15 runs and he recorded 6 strikeouts. Zach Overboe threw 1/3 of a inning in relief, he gave up one hit. Peter Nelson had a big game, he went 4-6 with a triple and a double for 2 RBI and he scored 4 runs. Joey Atkinson went 2-4 with a sacrifice fly and 2 RBI and he scored 2 runs. Joey Stock went 3-5 with a double for 3 RBI and he scored 2 runs. Ethan Carlson went 3-6 with 2 stolen bases and he scored 3 runs and Brandon Bloch went 2-5 with 2 RBI and he scored 2 runs. The Stone Poneys’ Nate Niernehausen started on the mound, he threw 2 innings, he gave up 7 hits, 4 walks, 6 runs. Cody Rose threw 4 2/3 innings in relief, he gave up 7 hits, 4 runs and he recorded 3 strikeouts. Jeff Amann threw 2 innings in relief, he gave up 6 hits, 12 runs, 4 walks and he recorded 1 strikeout. Spencer Timm threw 1/3 inning in relief, he gave a hit. Teddy Fleming had a good game, he went 3-5 with a double for 3 RBI and he scored 3 runs. Rudy Sauerer went 3-6 with a home run for 2 RBI  and Josh Schafer went 2-4 with 2 RBI, he was hit by a pitch and he scored 2 runs. Shawn Lindsay went 2-6 with 2 RBI and he scored 2 RBI and Pat Dolan went 2-4 with 2 RBI and a stolen base. Sean Tillman went 1-4 with 2 RBI, a stolen base, he was hit by a pitch and he scored 3 runs. Matt Maurer went 1-5 with 2 RBI and he scored a run, Rob Gabrielson went 1-4, he was hit by a pitch and he scored 2 runs and Spencer Timm scored a run.  

CLEAR LAKE LAKERS 7, ALBERTVILLE VILLAINS 2 (6/17 @ Clear Lake)

The Lakers defeated the Sauk Valley foe the Villains, backed by 12 hits and a good pitching performance by veteran, lefty Mike Smith. He threw 7 innings, he scattered 5 hits, 2 walks, surrendered 2 runs and he recorded 2 strikeouts. Ryan Paasch threw 2 innings in relief to earn the win, he issued one walk and he recorded a strikeout. Derek Tombelin had a good game, he went 3-4 with a double for a RBI,  a walk and he scored a run. Matt Korte went 3-5 with a RBI and he scored a run and Mitch Voigt went 2-4 with a double and he scored 2 runs. Cory Schmidt went 1-2 with a double for a RBI, he walked, he was hit by a pitch and he scored a run. Ryan Skyzmanski went 1-4 with a RBI and he scored a run and Jason Christensen went 1-3 with a RBI. Noah Vogt went 1-4 with a walk and a stolen base and Richard Thompson was credited with a RBI and he scored a run. 

The Villains’ Mike Wallace started on the mound, he was the pitcher of record. He threw 7 2/3 innings, he gave up 12 hits, 2 walks, 7 runs and he recorded 6 strikeouts. Josh Schmidt threw 1/3 of a inning, he issued one walk and he recorded a strikeout. Jim Althoff went 2-3 with a double, he walked and he scored run and Mike Krempa went 1-4 with a double for a RBI and he scored a run. Dylan Fox went 1-4 and he scored a run, Trent Vogt went 1-4, Steve VanVleet and Jason Sokolowski both earned walks.  

ALBERTVILLE VILLAINS 10, CLEAR LAKE LAKERS 3 (6/14 @ Albertville)

The Villains defeated the Lakers in Central Valley League action, backed by 14 hits, including four players with multi-hit games. Steven VanVleet, threw 7 innings to earn the win, he gave up 5 hits, 1 run and he recorded 11 strikeouts. Todd Klaers threw 1 inning, he gave up 2 hits and 2 runs. Todd Klaers, had a good game at the plate too, he went 4-4 with 4 RBI ad he scored 3 runs and Dylan Fox went 2-5 with a home run for 4 RBI. Jim Althoff went 4-4 with 1 walk, 1 stolen base and he scored 5 runs and Mike Krempa went 1-4 with a 2 RBI and a walk. Mike Walllace went 2-4, Josh Schmidt went 1-4 and he scored a run, Henry Berning earned a walk and Austin Wick earned a walk. 

The Lakers’ Tyler Maurer started on the mound, he threw 4 1/3 innings, he gave up 8 hits, 3 walks, 7 runs and he recorded 3 strikeouts. Mike Smith threw 1 2/3 innings in relief, he gave up 4 hits, and 2 runs. Mike Golombiecki threw 2 innings in relief, he gave up 2 hits, 2 walks, 1 run. Noah Vogt went 2-4 with a 2 run home run and Brandon Buesgens went 1-4 with a double. Mitch Voigt went 1-4 and he scored a run and Richard Thompson went 1-4 and he scored a run. The Royals defeated their Stearns County North rivals, the Martins in a very close ball game. Alex Budde, started on the mound for the Royals, he threw 7 innings, he gave up 4 hits, 2 walks, 2 runs and he recorded 6 strikeouts. D. J. Schleicher, threw 3 innings in relief, he gave up 4 hits and 1 walk to earn the win. Adam Backes went 2-4 with a sacrifice fly for a RBI and Dusty Adams went 3-4 with a walk and he scored a run. Cole Schmitz went 1-3 with a home run and he earned a pair of walks and Scott Ruegemer went 1-4 with a RBI. Alex Budde went 1-4 with a double, he was hit by a pitch and he scored a run and Cory Niewind went 1-1. 

The Martins’ Josh Stangler started on the mound, he threw 7 innings, he gave up 6 hits, 1 walk, 2 runs and he recorded 3 strikeouts. Kyle Lieser threw 3 innings in relief, he was the pitcher of record, he gave up 3 hits, 2 walks and 1 run. Taylor Holthaus had a good game, he went 3-4 with a home run and a double for 2 RBI and one stolen base.

Jaylyn Arceneau went 3-4 and Bryan Schlangen went 1-4 with a walk. Matthew Schlangen went 1-4 and Michael Schlangen earned a walk, was hit by a pitch, 1 stolen base and he scored a run. 

RICHMOND ROYALS 4, FARMING FLAMES 3 (11 Inn.) (6/18 @ Richmond) 

The Royals won their second extra inning league game of the weekend, they defeated their Stearns County South rivals the Flames. The Royals, lefty Luke Jokela, started on the mound, he threw 8 innings, he gave up 5 hits, 2 walks, 2 runs and he recorded 6 strikeouts. Andy Bauer threw 3 innings in relief to earn the win, he gave up 3 hits, 2 walks, 1 run and he recorded 2 strikeouts. Dusty Adams had a great day, he went 3-4 with 2 RBI, a walk and he was hit by a pitch, he also had a walk off single in the top of the 11th inning. Scott Ruegemer went 2-5 and Cole Schmitz went 1-5 with a home run. Dan Hansen went 1-3 with a pair of walks and Adam Backes had a sacrifice fly for a RBI. Alex Budde, earned 3 walks, he was hit by a pitch and he scored a run, Kyle Budde and Connor Dols both earned walks and they scored a run.

The Flames’ lefty Brad Mergen, started on the mound, he threw 9 innings, he gave up 5 hits, 7 walks, 3 runs and he recorded 5 strikeouts. Aaron Nett threw 1 1/3 innings in relief, he gave up 2 hits, 1 walk and 1 run. Taylor Fourre had a big day, he went 3-6 and he scored 2 runs and Max Carlson went 1-5 with a RBI. Cody Fourre went 2-5 and Brad Mergen went 1-4 with 2 RBI. Chris Wehseler went 1-1, Nick Mergen and Mitchell Thelen both earned walks. 

NEW MUNICH SILVERSTREAKS 7, MEIRIE GROVE GROVERS 3 (6/17 @ NM)

The Silverstreaks defeated their Victory League South rivals the Grovers, backed by 13 hits and a good pitching performance by veteran Jim Thull. This was a very close game, with the Grovers tying  the game in the top of the sixth and then the Silverstreaks come back to put 4 runs in the bottom of the 6th. Jim threw a complete game, he scattered 6 hits, 3 runs, no walks and he recorded 7 strikeouts. Will Funk had a great day at the plate, he went 3-4 with a home run and a double, a sacrifice fly for 3 big RBI. Jacob Hinnenkamp went 2-6 with a RBI and he scored 2 runs and Neal Anderson went 2-3 with a double, he was hit by a pitch and he scored a run. Joe Stangler went 2-4 with a sacrifice fly for a RBI and Nick Stangler went 1-2, he earned a pair of walks, one stolen base and he scored a run. Jon Gaebel went 1-4 with a RBI and he earned a walk, Ty Reller went 1-5, Brennan Hoppe scored a run and Hunter Rademacher went 1-4 and he scored a run.  

The Grovers’ Ben Klaphake, started on the mound, he threw 5 innings, he gave up 8 hits, 6 runs and he recorded 2 strikeouts. Jaron Klaphake threw 2 innings in relief, he gave up 3 hits, and 1 run. Anthony Welle threw 1 inning in relief, he gave up 2 hits, and he recorded one strikeout. Jaron Klaphake went 2-3 with a double for 2 RBI and Andrew Welle went 1-4 with a double. Jordan Klaphake went 2-4 and he scored a run and Drake Meyer went 1-4 and he scored a run. Anthony Welle had a sacrifice bunt and he was hit by a pitch and Kurt Marthaler was hit by a pitch.  

MEIRE GROVE GROVERS 6, LAKE HENRY LAKERS 4 (6/18 @ Meire Grove)

The Grovers defeated their Stearns County North rivals, the Lakers, backed a two good pitching performances. Matt Imdieke, started on the mound, he threw 7 innings to earn the win, he gave up 9 hits, 3 walks, 3 runs and he recorded 6 strikeouts. Colten Meyer threw 2 innings in relief, to earn the save, he gave up 1 hit, 2 walks, 1 run and he recorded 2 strikeouts. Kurt Marthaler went 2-4 with a double for a RBI and he scored a run and Andrew Welle went 3-3 with a double for a RBI and he earned a pair walks and he scored a run. Jordan Klaphake went 2-5 with a RBI and he scored a run and Alex Welle went 1-3 with a sacrifice bunt and 2 RBI and Colton Meyer went 1-3 with a double, a walk and he scored 2 runs. Drake Meyer went 1-3 with a RBI, 2 walks and he scored a run and Anthony Welle had a sacrifice bunt and he earned a walk. 

The Lakers’ Aaron Savelkoul, started on the mound, he threw 6 innings, he gave up 7 hits, 6 walks, 3 runs and a strikeout. Weston Brinkman threw 2 innings of relief, he gave up 3 hits, 1 walk, 3 runs and he recorded 1 strikeout. Matt Quade went 1-3 with a home run for 2 RBI, he walked and he was hit by a pitch. Josh Kampsen went 2-4 with a walk, stolen base and he scored a run and Shane Kampsen went 2-4 with a walk and a stolen base. Grant Ludwig went 1-4 with a walk and he scored a run and Adam Miller went 2-2. Sam Hopfer went 1-4, Weston Brinkman went 1-1 with a stolen base, Ryan Wuertz had a sacrifice fly for a RBI and Aaron Savelkoul earned a walk and he scored a run.  

ST. MARTIN MARTINS 6, FARMING FLAMES 3 (6/16 @ St. Martin)

The Martins defeated their Stearns County rivals the Flames, backed by a good pitching performance by Jaylyn Arcenau. He threw a complete game, he gave up just 2 hits, 3 walks, 3 runs and 4 strikeouts.  Taylor Holthaus had a big run home run for 3 big RBI, he earned 3 walks, a sacrifice bunt and he scored 2 runs. Kyle Leiser went 2-3, with a walk, one stolen base and he scored a run. Bryan Schlangen went 1-3 with a RBI and he earned a pair of walks and Austin Arceneau went 1-3 with a walk. Josh Stangler went 1-3, Matthew Schlangen earned a walk, one stolen base and he scored 2 runs, Michael Schlangen went 1-4 and he scored a run, Josh Stangler went 1-3 and Scott Schlangen was hit by a pitch. 

The Flames’ Kyle Zierden started on the mound, he threw 5 innings, he gave up 5 hits, 5 walks, 5 runs and he recorded 3 strikeouts. Cody Fourre threw 3 innings in relief, he gave up 1 hit, 5 walks, 1 run and he recorded a strikeout. Kyle Zierden went 1-1 with a double for 2 RBI and he earned a pair of walks, Cody Fourre went 1-3 with a sacrifice fly and he scored a run. SPRING HILL CHARGERS 5, GREENWALD CUBS 3 (6/18 @ Greenwald)  

The Chargers defeated their Stearns County North foe the Cubs, backed by good pitching performances by Jordan Welle and Eric Terres. Jordan started on the mound, he threw 7 innings, he gave up just 3 hits, 2 walks, 2 runs and he recorded 5 strikeouts. Eric Terres threw 2 innings in relief, he gave up 1 hit, 1 walk, 1 run and he recorded a strikeout. Austin Schoenberg went 2-5 with a RBI and a stolen base and Anthony Reverman went 2-5 with a RBI and he scored a run. Owen Meyer went 2-3 with 2 RBI and he scored a run;  Eric Terres went 1-4 with a sacrifice bunt and a stolen base. Jamie Terres went 1-4, he was hit by a pitch and he scored a run and Shawn Schoenberg went 1-4 and he was hit by a pitch. The Bears defeated their Stearns County South rivals the Steves in a 12 inning game. The Bears pounded out 15 hits and they got good pitching performances by Jake Nelson and Derek Thielen. Jake started on the mound, he threw 7 innings, he gave up 7 hits, 3 walks, 5 runs and he recorded 7 strikeouts. Derek threw 5 innings to earn the win, he gave up 4 hits, 1 walk and he recorded 5 strikeouts. Isaiah Folsom had a big day, he went 2-5 with a home run for 2 RBI and he scored 2 runs. Austin Lange had a good game, he went 3-6 with a RBI and he scored 2 runs. Derek Thielen had a great day, he went 3-7 with a double including big game winner in the top of the 12th. The lefty scattered 5 hits, surrendered a run and he recorded a strikeout. Veteran lefty, Nate Winter, threw the final 2 innings in relief to earn the save, he gave up 1 hit, 1 walk and he  recorded a strikeout. Troy Frieler had a big game, he went 3-4 with a home run and 2 big RBI and Carter Sawyer went 2-3 with a RBI, he walked and he scored a run. This game was tied after the 6th inning, 1-1 and the Blacksox’s put up 5 runs in the 7th inning and 5 more in the 8th inning. Mitch Reller started on the mound, he threw 5 1/3 innings, he gave up just 2 hits, 1 walk and he recorded 11 strikeouts. The Rockets’ Brandon Wedel, started on the mound, he threw 5 innings, he gave up 9 hits, 3 walks, 7 runs and he recorded 3 strikeouts. Herman Solomon, threw 3 innings in relief, he was the pitcher of record. He gave up 3 hits, 1 walk, 3 runs and he recorded a strikeout. Tyler Steen had a big game, he went 2-4 with a grand slam and a double for 4 RBI. John Sawatzky went 3-4 with a home run for 1 RBI and Eric Hulterstrum went 2-4 and he scored a run. BEAUDREAU’S SAINTS 6, ELROSA SAINTS 5 

The Saints defeated their Stearns County foe the Saints, backed by 11 hits, including four players with multi-hit games. The Saints got a good pitching performance from Brian Minks. He threw a complete game, he scattered 7 hits, 3 walks, 5 runs and he recorded 5 strikeouts. Steve Neutzling had a great game, he went 2-4 with 2 home runs for 4 RBI. Bryan Minks had a good game, he went 3-4 with a home run for 2 RBI and he scored 2 runs. Tommy Auger went 3-4 and he scored a run and Tom Imholte went 2-4 and he scored a run. Nick Maiers went 1-4, Ryan Schneider had a stolen base and Chad Hockenmeyer earned a walk.  

The Saints’ Ethan Vogt started on the mound, he threw a complete game. He gave up 11 hits, 1 walk, 6 runs and he recorded 7 strikeouts. A. J. Hadley went 2-2 with double and a sacrifice bunt, he earned a walk and he scored a run. Player/manager, Matt Middendorf went 1-4 and he scored a run and Austin Hadley went 1-4. Matt Schmitz went 1-2 with a sacrifice bunt and he earned a walk and Ethan Vogt went 1-3 with a walk. Derek Wiener went 1-3 with a walk and he scored 2 runs and Austin Hadley went 1-4.

The “A” defeated their Cornbelt League foe the Rockets, by by the pitching performances by Jeremy Maschino and Hunter Hart. Jeremy threw 5 inings, he gave up 3 hits, 3 walks, 3 runs and he recorded 2 strikeouts. Hunter threw 1 inning in relief to earn the win, he gave up a hit and he recorded a strikeout. Hunter Hart had a big game, he went 3-3 with a home run for 3 RBI and Adam Schleper went 3-4.  

The Rockets’ Kyle Knott started on the mound, he threw 5 innings, he gave up 2 hits, walks 3 runs and he recorded a strikeout. Calvin Kosminskas threw 1 inning in relief, he was the pitcher of record, he gave up 1 hit, 2 walks and 1 run. Jordan Smith went 1-3 with a RBI and Calvin Kosminskas went 1-2 with home run for 2 RBI. Mike Jeseritz went 2-4, Tyler Steen went 1-4 and Kyle Knot went 1-3. 

REGAL EAGLES 4, HUTCHINSON HUSKIES 3 

The Eagles defeated their North Star foe the Huskies, backed by 8 hits and a two good pitching performances. Chris Beier started on the mound, he threw 4 innings, he gave up 6 hits, 3 walks, 3 runs and he recorded 3 strikeouts. Shane Rademacher threw 3 innings in relief to earn the win, he gave up a hit. Chris Beier had a good game, he went 3-4 with a double for a RBI, a stolen base and he scored a run. Nathan Beier went 1-4 with a 2 RBI and Sam Haines went 1-1 with a RBI. Shane Rademacher went 2-4 and he scored a run and Josh Beier went 1-3 with a sacrifice bunt and he scored a run. Jordan Beier had a stolen base and he scored a run and Blake Karsh had a sacrifice bunt and he earned a walk. 

The Huskies’ Conner Kern started on the mound, he threw all 7 innings, he gave up 8 hits, 1 walk, 4 runs and he recorded 3 strikeouts. Luke Wendland had a good game, he went 2-3 with a double for 2 RBI and he earned a walk. Mitchell Kurt went 1-3 with a RBI and Keegan Maceemon went 2-3 and he scored a run. Adam Katzenmeyer went 1-3 with a walk, Jake Art went 1-3 and he scored a pair of runs and Jayden Fleck earned a walk.

The Rockets, the defending Class C state champions, defeated the Beaudreau’s Saints. Lefty Alex Lotthammer, started on the mound for the Rockets, he threw a complete game, he gave up just 3 hits, 1 walk and he recorded 13 strikeouts. Eric Hutterstrom went 2-3 with a double for a RBI and Brett Swanson went 2-3 with a triple and he scored a run. Tyler Steen went 1-3 with a RBI, he was hit by a pitch and he scored a run and Mike Jeseritz went 2-4 and he scored a run. Justin Koenen went 1-3 with a walk and Jordan Smith earned a walk. 

The Saints’ Brad Theisen started on the mound, he threw 6 innings, he gave up 7 hits, 2 walks, 4 runs and he recorded 4 strikeouts. Chris Koenig threw 1 inning in relief, he issued a walk. Tommy Auger went 2-3 with a double, Jason Kotschaver went 1-3, Tom Imholte earned a walk and Steve Neutzling earned a walk.

The “A” of the North Star League defeated the Rockies of the Central Valley League. Matt Arens started on the mound for the “A”, he threw 6 innings to earn the win. He gave up 6 hits, 7 walks, 5 runs and he recorded 6 strikeouts. Trevor Janunich threw 1 inning in relief to earn the save, he gave up a hit, 1 walk and he recorded 3 strikeouts. Hunter Hart had a big game, he went 2-4 with 3 RBI and he scored 2 runs. Jeff Althoff went 2-4 with a triple for 2 RBI and he scored a run. Brady Miller went 1-3 with a walk and he scored a run and Adam Schleper went 1-3 with a walk and he scored 2 runs.Trevor Jaunich was credited with a RBI and he was hit by a pitch and Nate Norman went 1-3 and he was hit by a pitch. Adam Jaunich had a stolen base and he scored a run, James Otto was credited with a RBI and Nate Meyer earned a walk. 

The Rockies’ Trevor Lardy started on the mound, he threw 5 1/3 innings, he gave up 6 hits, 2 walks and 6 runs. Brandon Gill threw 2/3 of a inning, he gave up 1 hit, 7 walks, 2 runs and he recorded a strikeout. Marshall Wirtzfeld went 1-3 with 2 RBI and Kevin Wenner went 2-4 with a double and he scored a run. David Jonas was credited with a RBI, he walked and he scored a run and Cole Field was credited with a RBI, he earned 2 walks and he scored a run. Jordan Neu went 1-3 with a walk and Calvin Kalthoff went 1-4 and he scored a run. Jake Hennen went 1-3 with a walk, Austin Dufner went 1-2 with 2 walks and he scored a run and Patrick Hemingson was credited with a RBI and he earned a walk.

The Eagles defeated their Stearns County rivals the Saints, backed by a couple of big hits by Derek Dengerud and Nathan Beier. Derek went 1-3 with a huge grand slam late in the game for 4 big RBI. Nathan went 3-5 with a double for a RBI and he scored a run and Blake Karsh went 1-5 with a RBI and he scored a run. Austin Kampsen went 1-3 with a RBI, a walk and he scored a run Chris Beier went 1-3 with 2 walks and he scored a run. Shane Rademacher went 1-4 with a walk, Jordan Beier earned a walk and he scored a run, Tyler Kemen earned a walk and he scored a run and Joe Beier earned a walk. Jordan Wosmek started on the mound for the Eagles, he threw 3 innings, he gave up 2 hits, 4 walks, 6 runs and he recorded a strikeout. Austin Kampsen threw 6 innings in relief to earn the win. He gave up 2 its, 2 walks and he recorded 4 strikeouts. 

The Saints’ Austin Imdieke started on the mound, he threw 3 1/3 innings, he gave up 5 hits, 4 walks, 6 runs and he recorded 2 strikeouts. Austin Hadley threw 5 2/3 innings in relief, he was the pitcher of record, he gave up 3 hits, 3 walks and 3 strikeouts. Cody Eichers went 2-3 with a double for 2 RBI and Matt Middendorf went 1-4 with 2 RBI, a stolen base and he scored a run. Ethan Vogt went 1-4 with a double and he scored a run and AJ. The Lumberjacks dropped their quarterfinal game to the Huskies of the North Start league. Cameron Jurek started on the mound for the Lumberjacks, he thre 6 innings, he gave up 5 hits, 2 walks, 5 runs and he recorded 4 strikeouts. Tyler Long went 1-3 with a double for a RBI and he earned a walk and Kyle Kipka went 1-3 with a RBI. Noah Winkelman had a good game, he went 3-4 with a double and he scored a run. Mitch Keeler went 1-4 and Joe Zwicki went 1-3 and he scored a run. Cameron Jurek went 1-3, Hunter Hamers went 1-2, Mike Plante went 1-1 and Sam Keeler earned a walk.

He gave up just 3 hits, 1 walk and he recorded 10 strikeouts. Steve Neutzling had a great game, he went 3-4 with 2 home runs and a double for 3 RBI. Ryan Schneider, had a good game, he went 3-4 with a home run and a double for 2 RBI and he scored 2 runs. Nick Maiers had a good game, he went 3-4 with 2 doubles and a sacrifice fly for 2 RBI and he scored a run. Tom Imholte went 2-3 with a RBI, 2 walks, a stolen base and he scored a pair of runs. The Saints of the Stearns County League, defeated their Sauk Valley league foe, the Lumberjacks. Backed by 11 hits, including four extra base hits and a good pitching performance. Veteran, right hander, Aaron Vogt threw a complete game to earn the win. He scattered 8 hits, surrendered 4 runs and he recorded 5 strikeouts. Ethan Vogt went 1-4 with a big 3 run home run for 3 RBI late in the game. Player/manager, Matt Middendorf went 3-4 with a double and he scored a run and Cody Eichers went 2-4 with a double for a RBI and he scored a run. Austin Hadley went 2-4 with a double and he scored a run and A. J. Hadley went 1-3. Matt Schmitz went 1-4 with a RBI, Derek Wiener went 1-3, Brady Weller earned a walk and he scored a run and Kevin Kuefler was hit by a pitch. 

The Lumberjacks’ veteran right hander, Mike Beier, started on the mound, he threw 6 1/3 innings, he gave up 9 hits, 1 walk, 3 runs and he recorded 2 strikeouts.
