KNSI Radio’s Central MN Baseball Round-Up (June 27)

Back for a third season at http://knsiradio.com/sports/high-school-msc/about-msc/ with your weekly amateur baseball (Town Team) baseball reports. The plan is to continue to include: Lakewood League, Central Valley League, Sauk Valley League, Victory League South, Eastern Minny West and Stearns County South teams this season and the upcoming schedule for each league including tournament and exhibition games. In addition the league standings thru out the season.  Check out the Minnesota Amateur Baseball Web site for additional information.

CENTRAL VALLEY LEAGUE

COLD SPRING ROCKIES 2  KIMBALL EXPRESS 1  (6/21/16 @ Cold Spring)

The Rockies topped their Central Valley league rivals the Express, behind the great pitching effort by Jordan Neu and the hitting by Cole Field. Jordan threw a complete game, a total of 123 pitches, he gave up just 3 hits, 1 run, 4 walks and he recorded 3 strikeouts. The Rockies are now at 4-4 in the Central Valley, this young team has made big strides, in just the last few weeks. Cole Field went 2-3 with a double for a RBI, he walked and he scored a run. David Jonas went 1-3 with a double and he scored a run. Mason Ruegemer went 2-3, Marshall Wirtzfeld went 1-4 and Mike Holbrook went 1-3. Ryan Bell had a RBI and he had two big sacrifices; a sacrifice bunt and a sacrifice fly. The Rockies scored their first run in the second inning, David Jonas led off the inning with a double that one hopped of the dead center field fence. With two outs Cole Field drove a double to right center to drive in Jonas. The score stayed 1-0 till Kimball’s Adam Beyer hit a towering drive over the left field fence. The Rockies answered in the bottom of the 8th inning, a lead  off single by Cole Field, two very well executed bunts by Mike Holbrook and Mason Ruegemer got Cole Field to third place. Ryan Bell followed with a fly ball to center field to drive in Cole Field.

For the Express, their starting pitcher, Ben Johnson went 7 innings, he had a very strong performance, he scattered 3 hits, 1 walk and he surrendered 1 run and he recorded 7 strikeouts. The pitcher of record was Andy Dingmann, he threw the final two innings. The Express’s bats were very quiet  thru out the game. Adam Byer’s home run in the 8th inning was most of the Express offense.  Austin Ruehle went 1-3 with a walk and a stolen base and Brian Marquardt went 1-4. Brooks Marquardt, Troy Filzen and Zach Kuefler all earned walks and Zach also had a sacrifice bunt.

WATKINS CLIPPERS 10  KIMBALL EXPRESS 2  (6/24/16 @ Watkins)

The Clippers topped their Central Valley rivals the Express, behind the outstanding pitching by Matt Geislinger. He threw a complete game, he gave up just 4 hits, walked 3 and he surrendered 2 runs, he recorded 17 strikeouts. Brendan Ashton had a big game, he went 3-4 with a 2 run homer, a total of 4 RBI’s and he scored runs. Gary Peters went 2-4 with a walk and he scored a run. Kevin Kramer went 1-4 with a double and a sacrifice fly for a RBI and he scored a run. Brian Benson went 1-2 with a RBI and he scored a run, sacrifice bunt and Dan Berg went 1-2 with a 2 run homer, he had a stolen base and he scored 3 runs. Dan also made a great catch in the first inning, which likely took 2 runs away from the Express. Heath Kramer went 1-3 with walk and a RBI, Adam Hiltner had 1 RBI, he walked twice and he scored 2 runs.

The Express starting pitcher, Zach Dingmann, was the pitcher of record, he threw 5 innings, he gave up 5 hits, 3 walks and 6 runs and he had 4 strikeouts. Andy Dingmann threw 2 1/3 innings of relief, he walked one and he had two strikeouts. Brooks Marquardt went 1-3 with a double, he walked and he scored 2 runs and Austin Ruehle went 2-3 and he had a stolen base. Ben Johnson went 1-4 with a walk, Brain Marquardt walked and he had a stolen base and Adam Beyer had a RBI.

LUXEMBURG BREWERS 10  ST. AUGUSTA GUSSIES 4  (6/25/16 @ St. Augusta)

The Brewers topped their Central League rivals the Gussies with their 16 hit attack and the pitching effort by Austin Klaverkamp.  He thew all 9 innings, he gave up 13 hits, walked 3 and he had  strikeouts. Isaac Machinsky went 2-3 with a home run, a sacrifice fly for 2 RBI’s, walked once and he scored 2 runs. Chase Aleshire went 3-5 with a double for a RBI and he scored 2 runs. Derrick Orth went 2-4 with a double for a RBI, he walked and he scored 2 runs. Nick Baker went 2-5 with a RBI and he scored one run and player/manager Cory Wenz went 2-5 and he scored a run. Colton Fruth went 1-3 with a double for a RBI and he walked and had a stolen base. Austin Klaverkamp went 1-5, Darren Kiffmeyer went 1-1 and Tanner Skaja went 1-1 and he scored a run.

For Gussies starting pitcher Travis Laudenbach, was their pitcher of record, he threw 7 innings. Zach Laudenbach threw 2 innings of relief to closed the game out. Dustin Schultzenburg went 2-4 with a sacrifice fly, 2 RBI’s, a stolen base and he score a run. Nate Gwost went 2-5 with a double and Logan Aleshire went 1-5 with a double for a RBI. Adan Gwost went 2-5, Dan Swan went 2-3 with a RBI and Brady Grafft went 1-4. Aaron Fruth went 1-4 with a stolen base and he scored a run and Matt Skaja went 1- and he scored 2 runs.

LUXEMBURG BREWERS 6  KIMBALL EXPRESS 3 (6/26/16 @ Kimball)

The Brewers had a 17 hits attack to down their Central Valley rivals, the Express. The Brewers got a very good pitching performance from their starter, Sam Iten. He threw 8 innings, scattered 6 hits, walked 4 and he recorded 7 strikeouts. Mitch Ergen threw the final inning in relief to earn the save, he gave up 1 walk and 1 hit. Nick Baker had a great game, he went 2-5, he had a home run and a double for 2 RBI’s and he scored 2 runs. Isaac Matchinsky went 2-3 with triple, a double and sacrifice fly for 2 RBI’s and he walked once. Chase Aleshire went 2-5 with a double for a RBI and he scored  run and Colton Fruth had an awesome game, he went 4-5 with a RBI, a stolen base and he scored a run. Darren Kiffmeyer went 2-4 and he scored 2 runs and Derrick Orth went 1-5 with a double with a RBI. Ethyn Fruth went 1-4 with a sacrifice bunt and Luke Harren went 1-1.

For the Express, Matt Dingman was the their starting pitcher, he gave up 11 hits, 5 runs, 1 walk and he one strikeout. Matt was the pitcher of record.  Zach Kuefler threw 3 innings of relief, he gave up 4 hits, 1 run and he had one strikeout. Brooks Marquardt closed out the ninth inning, he gave up a pair of hits, he faced 4 batters. Scott Marquardt went 2-4 with 2 RBI’s and he walked and Brian Marquardt went 2-5 with a double. Brooks Marquardt went 2-3 with a double, 1 walk and he scored a run and Joey VonWahlde went 2-5 and he scored a run. Ben Johnson went 1-5 with a double and Austin Ruehle went 1-4 with a RBI and he walked. 

ST. AUGUSTA GUSSIES 16 ST. NICHOLAS NICKS 6  (7 Innings) 6/26/16 St. Augusta

The Gussies defeated their Central Valley rival the Nicks, with a 13 hits attack. Nate Gwost had a big game, he had a double for 5 big RBI’s and he scored 2 runs. Logan Aleshire went 1-2 with a sacrifice fly and 4 big RBI’s and he walked twice and Dustin Schultzenburg went 2-3 with a walk, stolen base and 3 runs. Matt Skaja went 2-4 with a RBI and he scored 2 runs and Marcus Lommel went 2-5, he walked a scored a run. Brady Grafft went 1-3 with a double, walked twice and he scored a run and Nate Laudenbach went 1-2, with a double and a RBI, he walked 3 times and he scored a run. Aaron Fruth went 1-3, with a RBI and he scored a run, Adam Gwost, walked twice, he was hit by a pitch and he scored 2 runs and Mitch Gwost was hit by a pitch, scored a run and he had 1 RBI. Aaron Fruth started on the mound for the Gussies, he threw 4 innings, gave up 8 hits, 6 runs, 6 walks and he had 2 strikeouts. Nate Laudenbach threw 2 innings of relief, he gave up 3 hits, 1 walk, 1 run and he had a strikeout. Luke Richardson threw the final inning in relief, he walked one and he recorded 3 strikeouts.

For the Nicks, Derek Kuechle started on the mound, he gave up 8 hits, 10 runs and he walked 6 and he had 2 strikeouts. Cory Grafft threw 2 2/3 innings of relief, he gave up 5 hits, 6 runs and 6 walks. Travis Hanson went 2-3 with a walk and he scored a run and Robert Lutgen went 2-4 with 3 RBI’s and he scored a run. Alex Faber went 2-4 and he scored a run and Joe Welage went 1-4 and he had a RBI. 

COLD SPRING ROCKIES 9  PEARL LAKE LAKERS 8 (10 Innings) (6/26/16 Pearl Lake)

The Rockies topped their Central Valley league rivals the Lakers in 10 innings, Jordan Neu’s single drove in Marshall Wirtzfeld, he had led off the inning with a base hit, for the go ahead run. Trevor Lardy entered the game in the 10th inning, he saved the game for his brother Chris, he face three batters. Chris Lardy threw 9 innings, he gave up 10 hits, 8 runs, 1 walk and he recorded 4 strikeouts. Kevin Wenner had a big game, he went 3-5 with a double, 1 walk, 2 stolen bases. Jordan Neu went 3-4 with 3 RBI’s and David Jonas went 2-4 with a double for a RBI. Kirby Tebrake went 2-3 and he was hit by a pitch and Cole Field went 1-3 with a triple. Mike Holbrook went 1-3 with a RBI and he scored a run and Ryan Bell went 1-2 with a sacrifice fly for a RBI, he was hit by a pitch and he had a stolen base.

For the Lakers, Logan Schramel started on the mound, he threw 6 innings, he gave up 9 hits, 6 runs, 2 walks and he recorded 4 strikeouts. Justin Kunkel threw 4 innings of relief, he gave up 5 hits, 3 runs and he had 3 strikeouts, he was the pitcher of record. Preston Peglow went 1-3 with a RBI and he scored a run and Ryan Wieneke went 1-3. Logan Schramel went 1-3 and he scored a run and Steve Krippner went 1-3. Derrick Garding went 1-2, he walked and scored 2 runs and Justin Kunkel went 1-3 and he scored 2 runs.

WATKINS CLIPPERS 16 EDEN VALLEY HAWKS 4 (6/26/16 @ Eden Valley)

The Clippers topped their Central Valley rivals the Hawks behind the good starting pitching effort by Heath Kramer and a big Grand Slam by Brendan Ashton. Heath started and he threw 4 innings, gave up just 3 hits, 2 walks, 3 runs and recorded 2 strikeouts. Dustin Kramer threw 2 innings of relief, he gave up 2 hits, 1 walk, 1 run and he recorded 2 strikeouts. Lefty Dan Berg closed it out, he threw the final inning, he gave a hit. Brandon Ashton went 1-5 with a Grand Slam for 4 big RBI’s and Brian Benson went 3-5 with a RBI, one stolen base and he scored a run. Dan Berg went 1-2 with a double for 3 RBI’s,  2 walks, 2 stolen bases and he scored 2 runs. Lincoln Haugen went 1-2 with 1 walk, he was hit by a pitch, 1 stolen base and he scored 2 runs. Rob Dobosinski went 1-3 with 2 RBI’s, 2 walks and he scored a run and Travis Linn went 1-1 with a double and he scored a run. Heath Kramer went 1-1 with a RBI and Kevin Kramer, was hit twice by a pitch, 1 walk and he scored 2 runs. Gary Peters walked twice and he scored 2 runs, Adam Hiltner walked twice and he scored 2 runs.

For the Hawks Austin Schlangen started on the mound and he was the pitcher of record, he threw 2 innings. Zach Schlangen threw 4 innings and Nate Geislinger threw 1 inning of relief. Matt Unterberger went 2-4 with a double and Dan Sargent went 1-3 with 2 RBI’s, one walk and he scored a run. Alex Geislinger went 1-4 with a double and 2 RBI’s and Nate Geislinger went 1-2 with a double, walked and he scored a run. Austin Schlangen went 1-3 and he scored a run and Zach Schlangen walked and he scored a run.

ST. MARTIN MARTINS 1 RICHMOND ROYALS 0  (6/26/16 @ Richmond)

The Martin’s topped their Stearns County South rivals the Royals, behind the a very good pitching performance by Ben Schroeder. He threw a complete game, he gave up just 5 hits, 2 walks and he recorded 8 strikeouts. Scott Schlangen drove in Michael Schlangen in the top of the first inning with a single after Michael singled and stole second base. Scott went 1-4 with a RBI and a stolen base and Michael went 1-4 with a stolen base and he scored a run. Taylor Holthaus went 1-3 with a double and he walked, Matt Schlangen walked and Kyle Lieser walked.

For the Royals, their starting pitcher also threw a great game, Andy Bauer threw a complete game. Andy gave up just 3 hits, 3 walks, 1 run and he had 3 strikeouts. Dan Hanson went 2-3 with a walk and D. J. Schliecher went 1-3 with a double. Cole Schmitz went 1-4 and Adam Backes went 1-3 with a walk.

ELROSA SAINTS 10 LAKE HENRY 5 (6/26/16 @ Lake Henry)

 The Saints topped their big rivals the Lakers, behind the pitching of Austin Hadley. Austin threw a complete game, he scattered 10 hits, gave up 5 runs, 1 walk and he recorded 6 strikeouts. Pat Illies had a huge day, he went 2-4 with a Grand Slam for 4 big RBI’s and he walked. Matt Schmitz went 3-5 with a home run and a double for 2 big RBI’s and he scored 3 runs. Kevin Kuefler went 2-4 with a home run and a sacrifice bunt for 2 RBI’s and had a stolen base. Austin Hadley went 2-5 with a RBI, he was hit by a pitch and he scored a run and Brandon Roelike went 2-4 with a RBI. A. J. Hadley went 2-6 and Cody Eichers went 2-3 with 2 walks and he scored 2 runs and James Kuefler had two sacrifice bunts and he walked.

For the Lakers Weston Brinkman was their starter on the mound and he was the pitcher of record. Grant Ludwig went 3-4 with a 2 run home run for 2 RBI’s and he scored 2 runs and Josh Kampsen went 1-3 with a 2 run home run for 2 RBI’s. The Lakers defeated their Victory League rivals the Rebels behind the pitching efforts of the Harlanders. Jon started on the mound, he went 6 innings, he scattered 8 hits, walked 2, surrendered 2 runs and he recorded 5 strikeouts. Adam closed it out with 3 innings of relief to earn the save, he gave up 1 hit, 1 walk and he recorded 4 strikeouts. Rick Henrickson went 2-2 with a RBI, 3 walks, 2 stolen bases and he scored 2 runs. Carter Holthaus went 2-4 with a double for 2 big RBI’s, he had a stolen base and he scored a run. Adam Harlander went 2-3 with a walk and he scored a run and Matt Meyer went 1-3 with a walk. Riley Voit went 1-4 with a sacrifice fly and 2 RBI’s, Reed Voit went 1-4 and Cody Stich went 1-4 with a sacrifice bunt, a RBI and a stolen base. Ken Webber,  Tony Harlander and Shane Olmshied all scored runs.

For the Rebels, Ethan Branum started on the mound, he threw 5 innings. He gave up 4 hits, 3 walks, 2 runs. Logan Kalis threw 3 innings of relief, he gave up 6 hits and 2 walks, he was the pitcher of record. Joe Hegarty went 1-5 with 2 RBI’s and Ethan Branum went 1-4 with a stolen base and he scored a run. Hayden Buckowski went 1-2 with a sacrifice bunt and he was hit by a pitch and Rhett Williamson went 1-2 with 3 walks.

AIKTIN STEAM 3  FREEPORT BLACK SOX 1  (6/25/16 @ Freeport)

The Steam defeated Victory League foe the Black Sox, behind the impressive pitching efforts by Nathan Ehnstorm. He threw all 9 innings, he gave up just 3 hits, 3 walks and he recorded 8 strikeouts. Nathan had a big game at the plate, he went 2-5 with 2 doubles for a RBI and he scored a run. Brain Burman went 2-3 with a double, he was hit by a pitch, he walked and scored a run and Sam Peterson went 1-4 with a RBI.

For the Black Sox’s Carter Sawyer started on the mound, he threw 7 innings. He gave up 5 hits, walked 2 and he recorded 7 strikeouts, he was the pitcher of record. Tommy Benson threw the final 2 innings in relief, he gave up 3 hits, Seth Stoll went 1-3 with a double, he walked and he scored their run. Carter Sawyer went 1-3 with a sacrifice bunt, stolen base and he had a RBI and Nate Mettenburg went 1-3.

ST. STEPHEN STEVES 8 AVON LAKERS 7  (6/26/16 @ St. Stephen)

 The Steves defeated their Victory League South rivals the Lakers in a come from behind effort. The Steves were down 4-1 going into the top of the 7th inning and they scored in the bottom of the 9th inning for the win. Nick Krippner started on the mound, he threw 5 innings, he gave up 4 hits, 3 runs and he recored 6 strikeouts. Andy Stolt threw 4 innings of relief to earn the win, he gave up 4 hits, walked 2 and he surrendered 4 runs and he had 3 strikeouts. Cole Wolhart had a big day, he went 3-5 with 2 big RBI’s and he scored a run. Jason Slivnik went 1-3 with a double for a RBI, he walked twice and he scored 2 runs. Sam Neeser went 2-3 with a RBI and he walked and Blake Guggenberger went 2-5 and he scored 2 runs. Ben Omann went 1-4 and he scored a run, Matt Meyer went 1-4, he was hit by a pitch and he scored 2 runs and Brandon Waldvogel was hit by a pitch and he had a RBI.

For the Lakers, Kyle Collins started on the mound, he threw 7 innings. He gave up 5 hits, 2 walks, 3 runs and he recorded 5 strikeouts. Adam Harlander retired one batter and Caleb Curry threw 1 inning of relief, he was the pitcher of record, he gave up 1 hit, 2 walks and 2 runs. Rich Hendrickson had a good game, he went 2-4 with a home run for 3 RBI’s, he walked once. Will Kleinschmidt went 1-2 with a RBI, he walked and he scored a run and Carter Holthaus went 1-2 with a triple and he walked. Riley Voit went 1-5, Caleb Curry went 1-4 and Josh Becker went 1-1. ST. WENDEL SAINTS 14  HOLDINGFORD EXPRESS 3  (7 Innings) (6/26/16 @ Holdingford)

The Saints defeated their Victory League South rivals the Express, behind the pitching efforts of John Pagatchnik, Max Posch and Ryan Bloomer. John threw 4 innings, to earn the win, he gave up 3 hits and he recorded 3 strikeouts. Max threw 2 innings, he gave up 4 hits, 2 walks, 3 runs and he had 1 strikeout. Ryan Bloomer closed it out, with 1 inning of relief, he recorded a strikeout and he faced just 3 batters. John Pagatchnik had a very good game, he went 3-4 with a double for a RBI, hit by pitch and he scored 3 runs. Brent VanHeel had a great game, he went 5-5 with 3 RBI’s and he scored a run. Jake Braegelmann went 1-4 with a double and he walked and Lee Maciej went 1-4 with a RBI and he scored a run. Keaton Gustin went 1-2 with 2 walks, hit by pitch and he scored 3 runs. Ian Hoffarth went 1-3 with a RBI and Travis Thielen went 1-3. Ryan Szymanski went 1-3 and he scored a run, Matt Maciej went 1-3 and he scored a run. Austin Gerads had a sacrifice fly for a RBI and Drew Soltig walked twice and he scored a run.

The Poneys were defeated by their Eastern Minney League rivals the Knights 9-8.   Nathan Nierenhausen was their starting pitcher and the pitcher of record, he threw 4 1/3 innings, he gave up 8 hits, 8 runs, of which only 2 were earned, 2 walks and he recorded 5 strikeouts. Jeff Amann threw 4 2/3 innings of relief, he scattered 6 hits, 1 walk, surrendered 1 walk and he recorded 6 strikeouts. Their offense was led by Teddy Fleming, he went 3-5 with a triple for 3 RBI’s and Sean Tillman went 2-5 with 2 RBI’s. Jeff Amann went 2-4 with a walk and he scored a run and Jake Wenzel went 2-6 with a double for a RBI and he scored a run. Austin Timm scored 2 runs, 1 RBI, 2 walks, and he was hit by a pitch and Josh Rathbun walked twice and he scored a run. Brandon Reinking scored a run and he had a sacrifice bunt and Alex O’Leary walked twice and he scored a run.

For the Knights Dan Folie was the starting pitcher and the pitcher of record, he threw 7 2/3 innings and Evan Rowe earned the save with 1 1/3 innings of relief. Jesse Grundstrom went 2-5 with 2 RBI’s an Dan Folie went 2-5 with a RBI. Nick Perttula went 2-5 with a double, one RBI and he scored 2 runs and Terry Hadden went 2-3 and he had a stolen base.

The Muskies bats were hot as they pounded out 17 hits including including  four home runs and three doubles. This should over shadow the awesome pitching performance by Adam Wenker. Adam threw 7 innings, he gave up just 1 hit, no walks and he recorded 6 strikeouts. He faced just 22 batters in this 7 inning game, just one from a perfect game. Tim Burns had a great game, he went 2-4 with two home runs for 3 RBI’s, he scored 3 runs and he had a stolen base. Luke Sweeter went 2-4 with a home run for 3 RBI’s. Dan O’Connell went 1-1 with a pinch hit home run and Cody Partch went 2-4 with a stolen base. Andrew Deters went 2-3 and he scored a run and Brian Schellinger went 2-4 and he scored 2 runs. Austin Gohl went 1-3 with a double, Paul Schumer went 1-1 with a double and he scored a run. Grant Mackenthun went 1-1 with a double and Grant Lahn went 1-2 with a double and he scored a run. The Muskies pitching staff was very impressive thru all four tournament games, in 26 innings, they gave up 4 hits, 8 walks (7 in one game) and they recorded 17 strikeouts. Andrew Deters had a good game going 2-4 with a double for 2 RBI’s and Tim Burns went 2-5 with a double for a RBI. Adam Schellinger went 2-2 with a double for a RBI, he walked and he scored a run. Brian Schellinger went 1-3 with a sacrifice bunt and Cody Partch went 1-2 with a sacrifice fly for a RBI. Grant Lahn went 1-4 and he scored a run, Jake Sweeter went 1-2, walked twice and he scored a run and Luke Sweeter had a sacrifice bunt.

The Springers topped their Corn Belt rivals the Rockets with a 16 hits attack. This was great support for Chris Butala’s pitching performance, he started and threw a complete game. He had a 1 hitter going into the 5th inning, he did scatter 13 hits, surrendered 5 runs, 2 walks and he recorded 2 strikeouts. Brian Hanson, Jeron Terres and Garrett Fuchs led the offense. Brian went 3-4 with a sacrifice fly for 2 RBI’s and he scored a run. Jeron Terres went 3-4 with a RBI, he had a stolen base and he scored a run. Garrett Fuchs went 3-5 with a RBI, a stolen base and he scored 3 runs. Joe Dempsey went 2-5 with a double for 2 RBI’s and Alex Jungels went 2-4 with a double for a RBI and he scored a run. The Lakers were defeated by the Millers of the Hi-10 League, behind the pitching performance by Austin Maneval. Brandon Kupfer went 2-4 with 2 RBI’s and Tyler Patron went 2-3 with 4 RBI’s, he walked and scored a run. Ben Woodman went 2-4 with 2 RBI’s and he scored 2 runs and Dustin Gaudette went 1-4 with 2 RBI’s and he scored a run.

For the Lakers, Brett Watercott was their pitcher of record. Matt Korte went 1-2, Rich Petty went 1-1 with a walk, Cory Schmidt went 1-2, Hunter Mutterer went 1-1 with a double and he walked and Rich Thompson went 1-2.

NEW MUNICH SILVERSTREAK 14  LITCHFIELD BLUES 4  (6/22/16 @ Litchfield)

The Silverstreaks defeated their Sauk Valley foe the Blues, behind the pitching performances by Nick Stangler and Will Funk. Nick threw 5 innings, he gave up 4 hits, 2 walks, 4 runs and he recorded 7 strikeouts, to earn the win. Will threw the final two innings in relief, he gave up 2 hits, 1 walk and he recorded 2 strikeouts. Paul Sand, player/manager went 2-4 with a big run home run and Nick Stangler went 3-4. Grant Johnson went 3-4 and Ty Reller went 2-4.

The Blues starting pitcher was Jake Schultz, he threw 3 2/3 innings and he was the pitcher of record. Toby Chellin went 1-3 with a 3 run home run in the first inning and Jake Schultz went 1-3. Dylan Koll went 1-2, Carson Deal went 1-3, Cody Beavens went 1-3 and Jake Jones went 1-1.

The Lakers dropped a game to their North Star League foe the Saints, behind the pitching performance by Eric Hanson, Eric Larson and Brendon Opsahl. Eric started and he threw 4 innings, gave up 2 hits, 1 run, 4 walks and he had 3 strikeouts. Lucas thew 4 innings, to earn the win, he gave up 3 hits, 2 walks and he record 7 strikeouts. Brendon Opsahl earned the save with 1 inning of relief, he gave up 1 hit and he had 2 strikeouts. James Howell went 3-3 with a RBI and he scored a run, Mitch Kurzweg went 1-3 and Michael Siffler went 1-1 with a RBI.

For the Lakers, Andy Linn started on the mound, he threw 2 innings, Chad Kunkel threw 3 innings, Justin Kunkel threw 2 innings and Cole Denn threw the final inning. Ryan Wienke went 3-5 with a double and a RBI and Tommy Linn went 2-5. Isaak Blitvich went 1-4 and Sam Schlangen, Justin Kunkel and Chad Kunkell all earned 2 walks.
