LOCAL BASEBALL ROUNDUP

Back for a third season at http://knsiradio.com/sports/high-school-msc/about-msc/ with your weekly amateur baseball (Town Team) baseball reports. The plan is to continue to include: Lakewood League, Central Valley League, Sauk Valley League, Victory League South, Eastern Minny West and Stearns County South teams this season and the upcoming schedule for each league including tournament and exhibition games. In addition the league standings thru out the season.

CENTRAL VALLEY LEAGUE

COLD SPRING ROCKIES 5  ST. NICHOLAS NICKS 1  (6/8/16 @ Cold Spring)

The Rockies topped Central Valley league rival the Nicks, behind the strong pitching performance by Trevor Lardy. He threw all 9 innings to earn the win, he scattered 7 hits, walked 3 and he recorded 3 strikeouts. On offense, David Jonas had a big game, he went 3-4 with a triple for 2 RBI’s and he scored a run. Calvin Kalthoff went 1-4 with a RBI, stolen base and he scored a run and Reece Hemmesch went 1-4 with a RBI and a sacrifice bunt. Ryan Bell went 1-3 with a walk, 2 stolen bases and he scored a run and Mason Ruegemer went 1-4. Marshal Wirtzfeld walked and scored a run and Jordan Neu earned a walk.

The Nicks starting pitcher and pitcher of record was Jon Hofer, he threw 8 innings, scattered 8 hits, walked 4 and he recorded 2 strikeouts. Rob May threw the final inning of relief. The Nicks offense was led by Joe Wehlage, he went 2-4 and Matt Schott went 2-2 with a sacrifice bunt. Tanner Anderson went 1-4, Jeff Lutgen went 1-4 and Jon Hofer went 1-2 with 2 walks.

WATKINS CLIPPERS 15 PEARL LAKE LAKERS 5  (8 Innings) 6/12/16 @ Pearl Lake)

The Clippers topped Central Valley League foe the Lakers, behind a 20 hits attack and the complete game by lefty Dan Berg. Dan, scattered 11 hits, surrendered 5 runs and he recorded 7 strikeouts. Several Clippers had a great game at the plate, Kevin Kramer went 3-5 with 2 doubles and a home run and 5 big RBI’s, a stolen base and he scored 3 runs. Lefty Danny Berg, had good game, going 4-5 with 2 doubles, home run, stolen base and he scored 3 runs. Brian Benson went 3-3 with a double, a walk, he scored 3 runs and 1 RBI and Adam Hiltner went 2-5 with a double, a stolen base and he scored 2 runs. Gary Peters went 2-4 with a double, home run and 1 RBI and he scored a run. Matt Geislinger went 2-5 with a RBI and a stolen base and Brenden Ashton went 2-5 with a sacrifice fly for a RBI. Heath Kramer went 1-2 with a home run and a walk, Hunter Mathies went 1-3 with a stolen base and Lincoln Haugen scored a run.

For the Lakers, Logan Schramel was their starting pitcher and pitcher of record, he threw 8 innings. Tommy Linn led the Laker offense, he went 3-4 with a double and he scored 2 runs. Justin Kunkel went 2-4 and Logan Schramel went 2-4 and he scored a run. Steve Krippner went 1-4 with a RBI and Preston Peglow went 1-3 with a RBI. Isaac Blitvich went 1-4 with a home run and Ryan Wieneke went 1-4 with 2 RBI’s and he scored a run.

KIMBALL EXPRESS 17 ST. NICHOLAS NICKS 3  (7 Innings) 6/12/16 @ St. Nicholas)

The Express had a 17 hits attack to lead the way to defeat Central Valley League foe the Nicks. Austin Ruehle had a great game, he went 4-5 with 2 RBI’s, 1 walk and he scored 2 runs. Scott Marquardt had a good day, he went 3-3 with 4 RBI’s with a home run, 1 walk and he scored 2 runs. Ben Johnson went 2-4 with a home run and 2 RBI’s and Zach Sufka went 3-4 with 2 doubles, 1 RBI, 1 walk and he scored 3 runs. Kyle Winter went 2-4 with a home run, 3 RBI’s and Adam Beyer went 1-4 with a double for 2 RBI’s and he scored a run. Joey VanWahlde went 1-2 with a home run and he scored 2 runs, Brooks Marquardt went 1-3 with a RBI, 1 walk and he scored 2 runs and Andy Dingmann went 1-2. 

For the Nicks, Derek Kuechkle started on the mound and he was the pitcher of record, he threw 3 innings. Cory Grafft threw 3 innings and Tanner Anderson threw inning of relief and Tanner Anderson threw the final inning. Jeff Lutgen went 1-3 with a 3 run home run, Joe Wehlage went 1-3, Tanner Anderson went 2-2 and he scored a run and Alex Faber went 1-4.

EDEN VALLEY HAWKS 9 LUXEMBURG BREWERS 5 (6/12/16 @ Eden Valley)

The Hawks topped their Central Valley League foes the Brewers for their first league win of the season. Tanner Olean started on the mound, he had a very good performance, he threw a complete game. He scattered 8 hits, 2 walks, he surrendered 4 runs and he recorded 5 strikeouts. The Hawks pounded out 12 hits with Alex Geislinger leading the way, he went 3-5 with a double for 3 big RBI’s. Tanner Olean went 2-4 with 2 RBI’s, Dan Sargent went 2-3 with 2 runs scored and Matt Unterberger went 2-4 with a double. Jeff Haag, Matthew Pennertz and Zach Schlangen all had base hits for the Hawks.

For the Brewers Austin Klaverkamp started and he was the pitcher of record, he threw 7 1/3 innings. He gave up 12 hits, 3 walks, 9 runs and he recorded 6 strikeouts. Sam Iten went 1-4 with a 2 run homer and Derrick Orth went 2-4 with home run. Cory Wenz went 2-4 with a double and Isaac Matchinsky went 2-4 with a double and a RBI.  Chase Aleshire went 1-4 and he scored a run and Nick Baker went 1-4.

BEAUDREAU’S SAINTS 10  BRAINERD BEES 0 (8 Innings) 6/11/16 @ Brainerd)

The Saints opened Lakewood League play with a big win over the Bees, behind the awesome pitching performance by Nick Maiers. Nick threw 8 innings, he gave up just 3 hits, no walks and he recorded 20 strikeouts. Ryan Schneider went 2-3 with a RBI, 2 walks and he scored a run. Nick Maiers went 2-4, with a sacrifice fly for a RBI and he scored a run. Nick Hengel went 1-4 with 2 walks and he scored a run and Dustin Wilcox went 1-1, with 1 walk, he was hit twice by a pitch, 1 stolen base and he scored 2 runs. Alex Hess went 1-3 with a stolen base, Ryne Gregory walked twice and he scored 2 runs, Mike Schmidt walked twice and Tom Spaniol walked and scored a run.

For the Bees, Blake Peterson was the pitcher of record, he threw 3 innings, Burrall Flanagen threw 1 inning and Hanson Devine threw 2 innings. Bryce Flanagen went 2-3 with 2 doubles and Blake Peterson went 1-3.

BEAUDREAU’S SAINTS 3  SAUK RAPIDS CYCLONES 0  (5 Innings) 6/12/16 @ MAC)

The Saints topped Lakewood League rival the Cyclones in a rain shorten game. Ryan Schneider was the starting and winning pitcher. He gave up 3 hits, 2 walks and he recorded 7 strikeouts. Chad Hackenmeyer went 1-2 with a RBI and he scored a run and Ryan Schneider went 1-3 with a RBI. Nick Maiers went 1-3 with a stolen base and Dustin Wilcox walked and scored a run. Brad Haag scored a run, Dominic Austing walked and Tommy Auger was hit by a pitch.

For the Cyclones starting pitcher was Brett DeGagne, he threw 3 2/3 innings, he gave up just 1 hit and he recorded 4 strikeouts. Andy Thayer threw 1 1/3 innings of relief, he was the pitcher of record, he gave up 2 hits, 2 walks and he surrendered 3 runs. Evan Warnert went 2-2 and Paul Schlangen went 1-2. Tom Wippler and Tyler Bjork both earned walks.

The Muskies topped Sauk Valley league rivals the Lumberjacks, behind the pitching performances by a pair of lefties. John Schumer started, he threw 4 2/3 innings, he scattered 5 hits, 2 walks and he recorded 9 strikeouts. David Deminsky threw  4 2/3 innings of relief, to earn the win. He gave up just 2 hits, hit a batter and he recorded 7 strikeouts. Max Koprek closed out, striking at the last two hitters of the game to earn the save. Jace Otto went 2-5 with a run scored and Grant Mackenthun went 1-3 with a sacrifice bunt and he was hit by a pitch. Paul Schmer went 1-4 and he scored 2 runs and Johnny Schumer had 2 RBI’s.

For the Lumberjacks, Cam Jurek was their starting pitcher and Mitch Keeler threw relief, he was the pitcher of record. Cam threw 6 innings, he gave up 3 hits, 7 walks and he and he recorded 6 strikeouts. Mitch threw 4 innings of relief, he gave up 3 hits, no walks and he had one strikeout. Tyler Midas had a good game, he went 2-4 with a double and a walk and Jordan Bialke went 1-4 with a double. Cameron Jurek went 1-4 with 2 RBI’s and Mike Plante went 1-4. Mitch Keeler went 1-5 and Noah Winkelman went 1-4.

LITCHFIELD BLUES 6 ST. JOSEPH JOES 4  (6/11/16 @ Litchfield)

The Blues defeated Sauk Valley League rivals the Joes, behind the pitching performances by Kaleb Kalkbrenner and Ross Wendlandt. Kaleb started and he went 6 innings, he scattered 4 hits, 4 runs and he recorded 4 strikeouts and Ross earned the win with 3 innings of relief, he gave up 4 hits. Carson Deal went 2-5 with 2 big RBI’s and Dylan Kotzer went 1-5 with a RBI and he had a stolen base. Dan Oster went 1-3 with a walk and he scored 2 runs and Dylan Koll walked twice and he scored 2 runs. Toby Chellin walked twice and Derek Koll walked one time.

The Joes pitcher of record, was their starter Jack Atkinson, he threw 8 innings, gave up 7 hits, 11 walks and he had 3 strikeouts. Joe Stock threw the final inning in relief, he recorded one strikeout. Joe Stock went 2-4 and scored a run Justin Barg went 2-4 with 2 RBI’s. Brandon Block went 2-3 with a sacrifice bunt and he scored a run and Hunter Blommer went 1-2 with sacrifice bunt, 1 RBI, walked and he scored a run. SARTELL MUSKIES 9  ST. JOSEPH JOES 1  (6/12/16 @ Sartell)

The Muskies broke out of their hitting slump, they pounded out 17 hits to defeat their Sauk Valley League rivals the Joes. Jace Otto had a big day at the plate, he went 4-5 with 3 RBI’s and he scored a run. Lefty Johnny Schumer had a big day, he went 3-4 with 2 RBI’s, a sacrifice bunt and he scored a run. Cody Partch went 2-4 with a walk and he scored a run and Adam Schellinger went 1-2 with a RBI and a walk. Brian Schellinger went 1-3 with a sacrifice fly for a RBI, 1 walk and he scored 2 runs. Tim Burns went 1-5 with a double and Austin Gohl went 2-2 with a RBI. Luke Sweeter went 1-4 with a RBI, he was hit by a pitch and he scored a run and Jake Sweeter went 1-3, he was hit by a pitch and he scored a run. Andrew Deters went 1-6 with a stolen base and he scored a run and Michael Tiede walked twice and he scored a run.

The Joes pitcher of record was their starter Alex Kendall, he threw 6 innings, gave up 10 hits, 3 walks, 7 runs and he had 3 strikeouts. Greg Anderson threw 2 innings of relief, he gave up 5 hits and he gave up a run. Ethan Carlson went 2-4 with a RBI and Tyler Mueller went 2-3. Brandon Block went 1-3 and Alex Kendall went 1-4. 

CLEAR LAKE LAKERS 5  FOLEY LUMBERJACKS 4 (6/12/16 @ Clear Lake)

The Lakers defeated their Sauk Valley League rival the Lumberjacks, behind the great pitching effort from Mike Smith. He started, went 8 innings, gave up 6 hits, 1 run and he recorded 7 strikeouts. Hunter Mutterer earned the win with 1 inning of relief, he gave up 1 hit, 3 runs and he had 2 strikeouts. Both the Lakers and Lumberjacks scored 3 runs in the 9th inning. It was Jake Samulson’s walk off double to drive in the winning run after the Lumberjacks had taken a 4-2 led in the top of the 9th. Jake Samuelson went 2-4 with his walk off double and 4 big RBI’s in the game. Matt Korte went 3-5 with a double and he scored 2 runs and Rich Petty went 2-5 with a double and a RBI. Mitch Voigt went 1-2 and he scored a run, Cory Schmidt went 1-1 and he scored and Izzy Casper walked and he scored.

For Foley, Hunter Hammer started on the mound and Joel Bollig in relief, was the pitcher of record. Tyler Midas went 2-5 and he scored a run and Noah Winkelman went 1-5 with a triple to clear the bases in the top of the 9th. Mitch Keeler went 2-5 with a RBI, Sam Keeler went 1-4 and Brad Holthouse went 1-3 with a walk.

ST. JOSEPH JOES 2  FOLEY LUMBERJACKS 1 (6/5/16 @ Foley)

The Joes topped Sauk Valley rivals the Lumberjacks behind a trio of right handers, Greg Anderson started, he threw 6 innings, gave up 3 hit and he recored 2 strikeouts, to earn the win. Jack Atkinson threw 2 innings of relief, he gave up 1 hit and 1 run and he recorded 3 strikeouts and Alex Kendall threw 1 inning of relief, he gave up 1 hit to earn the save. Alex Kendall went 2-2 with 2 walks, he scored a run and he had a stolen base and Greg Anderson went 1-4 and he had a stolen base. Ben Bierscheid went 1-4, Joe Stock went 1-3 with a walk and Brandon Bloch earned 2 walks. Ben Alvord earned a walk and Zach Overboe earned a walk and a sacrifice and Eric Virgil scored a run. 

The pitcher of record for the Lumberjacks was Mike Plante, he threw 6 innings, he gave up 4 hits, walked 5 and he recorded 4 strikeouts. Rich Rasmussen went 1-3 with a double and Sam Keeler went 1-4. Tyler Midas went 1-4 and Mitch Keeler went 1-3 and he was hit by a pitch. Mike Plante went 1-3, Joe Siwicki was hit by a pitch and he scored their lone run and Jordan Bialke earned a walk.

The Royals defeated their Stearns County rival the Cubs behind their 20 hit attack and the good pitching performances by D. J. Schliecher and Dan Hanson. D. J. started and he threw 5 innings to earn the win, he gave up 6 hits, 3 runs, 3 walks and he had 2 strikeouts.  Dan Hanson threw 2 innings of relief, he gave up up 2 hits and he had 2 strikeouts. The Royals offense was led by Dan Hanson, he went 3-5 with 2 home runs for 6 RBI’s and Cole Schmitz went 3-4 with 3 doubles for 3 RBI’s, he walked twice and he scored 5 runs. Brent Ruegemer went 2-3 with a home run for 4 RBI’s and he scored a pair of runs and Adam Backes went 3-5 with 4 RBI’s, he walked twice, had a stolen base and he scored 3 runs. Dusty Adams went 1-4 with a home run for 4 RBI’s and he scored 3 runs and Cory Niewind went 1-4 with a double for 2 RBI’s and he scored a run. The Steves pounded out 17 hits to help defeat their Victory League South rivals the Saints. Nick Krippner started on the mound, he went 6 2/3 innings, he gave up 11 hits, 2 walks, 8 runs and he recorded 10 strikeouts. Lefty Isaac Dammen threw 3 1/3 innings of relief, he gave up 3 hits, 2 walks, 1 run and he recorded 4 strikeouts. Player/Manager Ben Omann and Matt Meyer had big days at the plate to help led the Steves. Ben went 3-5 with a home run and a double for 3 RBI’s and Matt went 3-5 with a home run and a double for 2 RBI’s and he scored 2 runs. Sam Neeser had a big day, he went 2-5 with 2 doubles with a RBI, stolen base and he scored 2 runs. Jason Slivnik went 3-5 with a RBI and he scored a run. Austin Guggenberger went 1-3 with a walk and he scored, Blake Guggenberger went 1-5 and Troy Munson went 1-3 with a sacrifice fly for a RBI. Dylan Hollenkamp went 1-1, Cody Wolhart went 1-5 and he scored a run and T. J. Bevens had a sacrifice fly for a RBI.

For the Saints, John Pogatchnik started on the mound and he was the pitcher of record. He threw 5 2/3 innings, gave up 12 hits, 8 runs and he had 2 strikeouts. Sam Butler threw 4 1/3 innings of relief, he gave up 5 hits, 2 runs and he had 4 strikeouts. Jake Braegelman went 3-6 with a double, stolen base and he scored 2 runs. Lee Maciej had a big day, he went 4-5 with a double for 2 RBI’s and he scored a run. Beau Maciej went 2-5 with 2 RBI’s and he scored a run and John Pogatchnik went 2-5 with a walk and he scored 2 runs.

ST. STEPHEN STEVES 8  ST. MATHIAS DEVILS 7  (10 Innings) 6/12/16 @ St. Stephen)

The Steves topped their Victory League rivals the Devils in their second extra inning game of the weekend. They had a pair of right handers do the pitching duties, Andy Stolt and Austin Guggenberger. Andy threw 6 good innings, he gave up 5 hits, 4 walks, 3 runs and he recorded 4 strikeouts. Austin threw 4 innings of relief, he gave up 4 hits, 3 walks, 4 runs and he had 2 strikeouts to earn the win. Player/Manager Ben Omann had a great weekend, he went 2-5 with a double for a RBI, he walked and he scored a run. Austin Guggenberger had a good game, he went 3-6 with a double for 2 RBI’s and he scored 2 runs. Blake Guggenberger had a good game, he went 2-5 with a double for 3 RBI’s and he was hit by a pitch and Matt Meyer went 2-3 with a triple, he had 2 stolen bases and he scored run. Dylan Hollenkamp went 2-5, Sam Neeser went 1-1 with a walk and he scored a run and Alex Omann went 1-5 with a RBI and he scored a run.

The starting pitcher for the Devils, Kolton Eischens, threw 4 innings, David Skiba threw 4 innings in relief and Teddy Dehler threw 1 inning in relief, he was the pitcher of record. Was sure a good thing they weren’t trying to wrestle these three pitchers, they may have gotten taken down, all three were starters for the Pierz wrestling team that earned third place in the state this past season. Matt Tautges went 3-5 with a walk and he scored a run, Nick Herold went 2-5 with a RBI and he scored a run and Matt Waltalla went 1-5 with a double, he walked and scored a run.

ST. WENDEL SAINTS 14 CUYUNA RANGE MINORS 5  (6/12/16 @ St. Wendel)

The Saints topped their Victory League foes the Minors, behind a good pitching effort by both Max Posch and Calvin Becker. Max started, he threw 8 innings, he gave up 6 hits, 3 walks, 5 runs to earn the win and Calvin threw 1 inning of relief and he recorded one strikeout. The Saints pounded out 14 hits, led by Keaton Gusten, he went 3-4 with a home run and a double for 4 big RBI’s and he walked once. Lee Maciej went 2-4 with a home run for 3 RBI’s, he walked twice and he scored 3 runs. Kyle Jarnot went 2-5 with a inside the park home run for 4 big RBI’s. Beau Maciej went 2-4 with a double for 2 RBI’s, he walked twice and he scored a run and John Pogatchnik went 3-5 with a walk and he scored 3 runs.

For the Minors Jake Zontelli was the pitcher of record. Lance Herbst went 1-3 with a homer run and Dillon Solid went 1-3. Hunter Leslie went 1-3 with a walk, Bryan Syrstad went 2-2 and Luke Zontelli had a 3 run home run.

NISSWA LIGHTNING 23  HOLDINGFORD EXPRESS 2  (7 Innings) 6/10/16 @ Nisswa)

It was like Lightning struck once again as they showed why they are one of the topped ranked Class C teams in the state. They topped Victory league foe the Express, backed by two 3 run homers in the first inning. They did get very good pitching performances by a pair of right handers; Scott Sand and Jason Roepke. Scott (a former St. Joseph Saint) started, he threw 5 innings to earn the win. He gave up 3 hits, 1 walk and he recorded 4 strikeouts. Jason (a former Norway Lake-Sunburg Laker) threw the final 2 innings in relief. He gave up 3 hits, no walks and he recorded 2 strikeouts. Luke Schumer (a former Saint) went 1-3 with a 3 run homer and 4 big RBI’s and Drew Boland went 1-3 with a 3 run homer for 3 big RBI’s. Jeremiah Piepkorn (a form Sauk Rapids Cyclone) went 2-3 with 3 RBI’s, 2 walks and he scored 4 runs. Jason Roepke went 3-5 with a 2 run homer and he had 4 RBI’s, Matt Casperson went 2-4 with a RBI and Morgan Shephard went 2-5 and he scored 3 runs.

For the Express; Travis Thielen was their starting pitcher and the pitcher of record. Jake Klein went 2-3 with 2 RBI’s and Jeremy Springer was 2-3  and he scored 2 runs. Derek Theilen went 1-3, Derek Biniek went 1-2 and Ian Hoffarth earned 2 walks.

FORT RIPLEY REBELS 12 HOLDINGFORD EXPRESS 0 (7 Innings) 6/12 @ Fort Ripley)

The Rebels showed why they are one of the top team in Class C state, they topped the Express in 7 innings. Ethan Branum was the starter and pitcher of record for the Rebels, he threw 7 innings, he gave up just 3 hits, 1 walk and he had 5 strikeouts to earn the complete game win. Brian Skluzacek (Former Cold Spring Player) went 2-3 with a double for a RBI and he scored 2 runs. Nick Jelacie went 2-5 with home run for 4 big RBI’s and Brett Kramer went 1-3 with a double for 2 RBI’s and he scored a run. Several Poneys had big games at the plate, Matt Mauer led the way, the former Blaine Fusion player, went 4-5 with a double for 2 RBI’s and he scored 3 runs. Tyler threw 6 1/3 innings, he scattered 6 hits, walked 3 and he recorded 8 strikeouts. Luke Stang earned the save, he retired the last two outs. Calvin Kalthoff had a good day at the plate, he went 2-4 with 3 big RBI’s and he had a stolen base. Zach Kuefler earned the save with 3 innings of relief, he gave up 2 hits, 1 run, 2 walks and had one strikeout. The Express pounded out 13 hits, they had several guys with big days at the plate. Adam Gwost, had a good game, he went 2-4 with a solo homer run. Nate Gwost went 1-4 with 2 RBI’s and Aaron Fruth went 1-2 with a double and he earned a walk. Nate Laudenbach went 1-3 with a solo home run, he walked and he scored 3 runs and Dustin Schultzenburg went 1-4 with a double for a RBI and he scored 2 runs. He threw 6 innings to earn the win, he scattered 4 hits, surrendered 2 runs, 4 walks and he recorded 5 strikeouts. John Fish threw the final inning of relief for the Brewers. Sam Iten had a good day at the plate, he went 2-4 with a stolen base and he scored a run. Chase Aleshire had a good day at the plate, he went 2-4 and he scored a run and he had a good game at a position that he normally don’t play. Chase was the Brewers catcher yesterday, where he normally plays shortstop. Ethyn Fruth went 1-3 with a RBI and Rhett Fruth went 1-3 with a stolen base and he scored a run. Chris Knauss had a good game, he went 2-4 with a RBI and Luke Harren went 1-3 with 2 walks and he scored 2 runs. Mitch Ergen went 1-3 with a sacrifice bunt and Nick Baker, walked had a stolen base, scored 2 runs and he had 2 RBI’s. Derrick Orth scored a run and he had a RBI.

The Springers pounded out 17 hits, they were led by outstanding games by Garret Fuchs, Joe Dempsey and Brian Hanson. They combined for 11 hits, Garrett went 4-5 with a triple for 3 RBI’s and he walked, Joe Dempsey went 4-5 with a double and 3 RBI’s and Brian Hanson went 3-5 with a RBI, walk, stolen base and he scored 2 runs. Drew VanLoy went 1-4 with a RBI and he scored a run and Alex Jungels went 1-6 with a double for a RBI. Zach Femrite went 1-4 with a walk, Zach Hinkemeyer went 1-3 with a walk, stolen base and he scored 2 runs. Jack Arnold went 1-2 and he scored a run and Jordan Barth had a RBI and he was hit by a pitch.

The offense shouldn’t over shadow the awesome pitching performance by veteran right hander Zach Femrite. He seems to get better with age, he threw 7 innings, gave up just 3 hits, 1 walk and he recorded 10 strikeouts. Nick Penick in his first appearance on the mound for the Springers, threw the final 2 innings, he gave up 1 hit, 1 walk and he recorded one strikeout.

The Springers topped the Outlaws behind the pitching performances by a pair of right handers, Mathias Butala and Jack Arnold. Mathias, started his first game of the season, the threw 4 innings, he scattered 4 hits and he recorded 6 strikeouts. Jack threw 3 innings of relief to earn the win, he gave up 2 hits, 2 walks and he recorded 3 strikeouts for his third win of the season. Alex Jungels went 2-3 with a double and he scored a run and Tyler Geislinger went 1-3 with a RBI and he scored a run. Eric Loxtercamp went 2-3 and he had a stolen base and Jeron Terres went 1-3. Jesse Lovoi had a good game, he went 2-4 with a 2 RBI’s and he scored a run. Tyler Bjork had a good night at the plate, he went 2-4 with a RBI and he scored a run.
