KNSI Radio’s Central MN Baseball Round-Up (Aug. 8)

Picture Caption: Pete Johnson was honored by the Region 1C as they had him throw out the first pitch. An Iowa native, Pete moved to Sartell in 2003. After calling around, he joined the Sartell Muskies that first summer. One game later, Pete became the manager. He has been a big part of the Sartell baseball scene ever since.

From 2003 to 2010 Peter served as the Muskies Player/Manager; at that time he stepped back. He wanted to spend more time with the baseball association and to coach his own kids in the youth sports. Also to spend many hours to making improvements at Champion Field. Many of the features in which we enjoy today and he also was a big part in bringing this regional tournament to Sartell.

Thank you, Pete, for the countless hours you have spent to help the growth of baseball in Sartell. All the teams who call Champion Field home have benefitted from Pete’s efforts.
