Flames 2, Richmond 1

Farming manufactured a run in the bottom of the 7th inning to defeat Richmond 2-1 in the annual Hall of Fame Game, on a beautiful Father’s Day afternoon in Farming.

The Flames rally started with a walk to Adam Winkels.  Robert Schleper proceeded to lay down a perfect sacrifice bunt, which he beat out for a hit.  Adam took third on the play when nobody covered the base.  Josh Becker followed with another perfect bunt, where the pitcher’s only play was to first base, allowing Adam to score the game winner.

Adam Nibaur went all nine innings for Farming, pitching one of the finest outings he’s had in a Flames uniform.

Farming now stands at 5-3 in the SCL, and just a half-game behind second-place Richmond.  We host Lake Henry this coming Friday night, 8:00pm.
