To the victor goes the spoils and for the Chanhassen Red Birds that means the No. 1 ranking in Class B to start the 2019 season.

The Red Birds needed to win twice on Labor Day to dethrone the two-time defending Class B champion Miesville and they got it done. Our pollsters were unanimous in deciding Chanhassen as the top team.

In fact, the polls were nearly identical for the first week with the Mudhens garnering all of the second-place votes and the Moorhead Brewers taking all of the third-place votes.

Things started to get interesting after that but Northfield claimed the No. 4 ranking and Cold Spring starts out ranked No. 5.

Forest Lake and Dundas both laid claim to the No. 6 spot while Chaska locked down the No. 8 spot and Class B newcomer, Sobieski, got a sixth-place vote and cracked the top 10 at No. 10.
