There was no doubt about it this week as Miesville claimed all four first-place votes to continue to remain the No. 1-ranked team in Class B. The Mudhens have won 12 straight games, which includes three over Class A opponents.

Cold Spring rose to claim the No. 2 ranking behind the strength of recent victories. The Springers have knocked off previously second-ranked Moorhead twice in the midst of a 12-game winning streak as well. Cold Spring claimed the Coors Light Classic in Shakopee and Jordan, knocking off a Northfield team ranked No. 3 at the time.

Speaking of the third-ranked team in the poll, Beaudreau’s Bar holds that spot this week. The Saints defeated Moorhead at the Nic Bell Classic after losing a pair of one-run games to the Minneapolis Cobras and Sauk Rapids.

The Moorhead Brewers dropped down to No. 4 in this edition of the poll while Northfield fell to No. 5. The Knights have won five straight since losing to Jordan and Cold Spring at the Coors Light Classic. That streak includes wins over Hampton and Elko.

Northfield’s rival, Dundas, comes in at No. 6 after barely remaining in the top 10 in the last poll. The Dukes, who were last ranked No. 10, had a 12-game winning streak snapped Wednesday in a 3-1 loss to Waterville. Dundas did beat Northfield July 4 during the win streak.

Blaine has continued to roll to a six-game winning streak. The Fusion come in ranked No. 7 once again but will get a good test against Forest Lake Friday to determine the Metro Minny league title. The Brewers climbed into this week’s poll at No. 10 after seeing a nine-game win streak get snapped in a 7-6 loss to Coon Rapids.

Chanhassen dropped to No. 8 in this poll after going 3-3 in its last six games. Those losses came to Eagan, Shakopee and Cold Spring.

Eagan entered the rankings at No. 9 after three straight wins that included a 15-3 thumping of Chanhassen and shares that spot with Chaska.

Records were accurate at the time pollsters submitted their rankings.
