Cold Spring Springers 7  Brainerd Bees 1   (Cold Spring 6/13)

The Springers topped their Lakewood league rival, the Bees behind the pitching performance of Justin Thompson. Justin had a great game, he threw a complete game, gave up just 2 hits, walked 1 and he recorded 8 strikeouts. Joe Dempsey had a big game for the Springers, he went 3-4 with a double, scored a run and 3 big RBI’s. Eric Loxtercamp, in his first game this season as a Springer, went 2-4 with a triple, walked, scored a run and he had 2 RBI’s. Jeron Terres went 1-4 with a triple and he scored a run and Zach Femrite went 2-3. Drew Van Loy went 1-4 with a double and Zach Hinkemeyer went 1-3, scored 2 runs and he walked. The pitcher of record for the Bees was Blake Peterson, he threw 6 innings, gave up 10 hits, 2 walks, he had 6 strikeouts and he gave up 7 runs. Tim Martin threw 2 effective innings of relief, he didn’t give a hit or walk anyone. Joel Martin and Jaron Hanson both had base hits and Blake Peterson walked.

Sauk Rapids Cyclones 4  Brainerd Bees 3   (Sauk Rapids 6/14)

The Cyclones topped Lakewood League rival the Bees behind the pitching efforts of Nate Freihammer as he threw 8 innings. Tommy Wippler went 3-4 and Kyle Henkemeyer went 3-4 and he scored 3 runs to lead the Cyclones offense.  Tyler Long went 2-5 and Evan Warnert went 1-3 with a walk and a big RBI. Jesse Lavoi went 2-4, , Charlie Oltz went 1-5, Matt Meyer went 1-5 and Paul Schlangen went 1-5. Burrell Flanagan was the pitcher of record for the Bees, he went 6 2/3 innings. Blake Eller threw 1 1/3 innings of relief. Tom Fairbanks had a big 3 run homer in the first inning. Joel Martin had a great day at the plate, as he went 3-4 with a double.

Cold Spring Rockies 15   Eden Valley Hawks 2  (7 Innings) (Eden Valley 6/9)

The Rockies topped CVL rival Hawks in a game that ended on the 10 run rule after 7 innings. Tyler McElwee was the winning pitcher for the Rockies, he went 5 innings, he gave up just 2 hits, walked 3, he recorded 1 strikeout and he gave up 2 runs. Jake Brinker threw 2 innings of relief,  gave up 2 hits, walked 4 and he struck out 1. David Jonas had another big game, as he went 3-4 with a 3 run homer and Kevin Wenner went 3-5 with a double, he scored 3 runs and 3 big RBI’s. Mason Ruegemer went 2-4, walked, score a run and he had 2 RBI’s and Calvin Kahthoff went 3-5 with a double and he scored 2 runs. Josh Porwoll went 2-3 with a RBI and Marshal Wirtzfield went 2-4 and he scored 3 runs. Reese Hemmesch went 1-4 with a walk and a RBI, Trevor Lardy went 1-1 with a RBI and Blake Holbrook went 1-1, he scored 2 runs and he had a RBI. Matt Pennertz was the pitcher of record for the Hawks, he threw 4 innings and Tanner Olean threw 3 innings. Hayden Willner went 2-4 with a double and a RBI and Zach Schlangen went 1-1 with 2 walks. Chad Hesse went 1-4 and Nathan Geislinger walked 2 times.

Cold Spring Rockies 6  Pearl Lake Lakers 2  (Cold Spring (6/11)

Rick Burtzel battled thru 5 innings to earn the win, he scattered 4 hits, walked 6, recorded 1 strikeout and he gave up 2 runs. Chris Lardy earned the save with 4 innings of relief, he gave up 2 hits, no walks and 1 strikeout. David Jonas went 2-4 with a stolen base and a RBI and Marshall Wirztfield went 2-4 with a stolen base and 2 big RBI’s. Kevin Wenner went 2-4 with a double and he scored a run and Mike Holbrook went 2-4 and he scored a run. Josh Porwoll went 1-3, scored a run and he had a big RBI. Reese Hemmesch went 1-2, he scored 2 runs and he walked twice. Logan Schramel was the pitcher of record for the Lakers, he gave up 5 hits, walked 2 and gave up 4 runs. Derrick Schlangen threw 4 innings of relief, he gave up 3 hits, 2 runs, walked 1 and he record 5 strikeouts. Tommy Linn went 2-5, Justin Kunkel went 1-4 and Isaak Blitvich went 1-3 and he scored a run. Derrick Garding went 1-4, Andy Lenzmier went 1-1 and Mitch Wieneke had a RBI.

Luxemburg Brewers 4  Watkins Clippers 2  (Watkins 6/12)

The Brewers scored early on a huge bases loaded double by Isaac Matchinsky, he cleared the bases in the second inning, Isaac went 2-4 with 4 huge RBI’s on the night. Austin Klaverkamp threw a very good game, as he went 9 innings, he scattered 5 hits. He walked 4 and he recorded 5 big strikeouts. Ethan Fruth went 2-4, Austin Klaverkamp went 1-4 and Cory Wenz went 1-4. Colton Fruth and Luke Harren both walked and scored a run for the Brewers. Matt Geislinger threw a very good game, but Clipper errors were costly, he scattered 6 hits, walked 3 and he had 13 strikeouts. Taylor Nawrowki went 2-4 with a RBI and Gary Peters went 2-4, Dan Berg walked twice, Matt Geislinger walked and score a run and Ryan Tri walked.

Pearl Lake Lakers 9 Luxemburg Brewers 7  (Marty 6/13)

The Lakers topped their CVL rival the Brewers for their first league win of the season. Tony Garding was the starter and  winning pitcher for the Lakers, went 8 1/3 innings, he scattered 10 hits, walked 3, surrender 3 runs and he recorded 6 strikeouts. Justin Kunkel earned the save with 2/3 of a innings of relief. Preston Peglow was the big offensive leader for the Lakers, he went 3-4 with a double and 3 big RBI’s. Sam Schlangen went 2-4, scored 2 runs and he had 2 RBI’s and Tim Voigt went 2-4 and he scored a run. Logan Schramel hit a huge 2 run homer in the 7th inning, because the Brewers did score 6 runs in the 9th inning.  Tommy Linn went 1-3, with 2 walks and a run, Nick Roeder went 1-4 and he walked and Mitch Wieneke went 1-3 and he scored a run. Isaac Matchinsky was the starting pitcher and the pitcher of record for the Brewers. He gave up 7 hits, walked 4, surrendered 7 runs and he had 2 strikeouts in 5 1/3. Sam Iten threw 1 2/3 of relief and Brice Adelmeyer threw the final inning, he record a strikeout. Luke Harren went 3-4 with 3 RBI’s and Colton Fruth with a double and 2 RBI’s led the Brewers offense. Kelly Weber went 2-5 with a double and a RBI and Cory Wenz went 1-4, walked, scored a run and he had 2 RBI’s. Tanner Skaja went 1-4 with 2 RBI’s and Derrick Orth went 1-3 with 2 walks and a run. Ethyn Fruth went 1-5 with a double, Isaac Matchinsky went 1-4 with a walk and Austin Klaverkamp scored a run and he walked 2 times.

Watkins Clippers 9  St. Augusta Gussies 5  (St. Augusta 6/14)

The Clippers topped CVL rival the Gussies behind some solid pitching performances by Taylor Nawrowki and Dan Berg. Taylor went 6 innings, he scattered 7 hits, walked 3, surrendered 2 runs and he recorded 10 strikeouts. Dan Berg earned the save with 3 innings of work, he gave up 4 hits, 3 runs and had recorded a strikeout. The Clippers offense was led by Brandon Ashton, he went 3-5 with a home run and a double for 5 big RBI’s. Taylor Nawrowki went 2-5  and Dallas Evenson went 2-3 with a double and he walked. Matt Geislinger went 2-4, with a double, scored 2 runs, a stolen base, Gary Peters went 1-4, scored a run and Adam Hiltner walked and scored a run. The Gussies pitcher of record was Travis Laudenbach, he threw 6 innings, gave up 8 hits, walked 2, surrendered 7 runs and he had a strikeout. Kellen Eurle threw 3 innings of relief, gave up 4 hits, walked 2, surrender 2 runs and he recorded 6 strikeouts. Marcus Lommel had a very good game, as he went 3-4 with a double and 2 runs scored and Adam Gwost went 2-5 with a double and 2 RBI’s. Aaron Fruth went 2-4 with a double and a RBI and Nate Laudenbach went 1-5 with a double and he scored a run. Dusty Schultzenburg went 1-4, walked and he had a stolen base and Nate Gwost went 1-4.

The Brewers topped CVL rival the Lakers behind the combined pitching efforts of Nick Baker, Casey Underwood and Brice Adelmeyer. Nick pitched 4 2/3 innings, gave up 6 hits, walked 3, and he recorded 5 strikeouts. Casey was the pitcher of record for the Brewers, he went  3 1/3 innings,  gave up just 2 hits, walked 1 and he recorded 1 strikeout. Brice Adelmeyer earned the save with 1 inning of work, he recorded a strikeout. Isaac Matchinsky had a huge day, he went 4-4 with a home run and a double 3 big RBI’s and Derrick Orth went 1-3 with a stolen base and a RBI. Cory Wenz had a good day, as he went 2-4 with 2 stolen bases and a RBI. Derrick Schlangen was the pitcher of record for the Lakers, he went 7 1/3 innings, gave up 12 hits, walked 2 and he had 3 strikeouts. Tommy Linn went 2-3, Nick Roeder went 1-2 and Logan Schramel went 1-2 with a RBI.

Sartell Muskies 12  St. Joseph Joes 1 (7 Innings)  (Sartell 6/13)

The Muskies topped their league rival, the Joes behind the pitching of lefty Johnny Schumer. Johnny threw 6 innings, he scattered 6 hits and he recorded 3 strikeouts and Cody Partch threw 1 inning of relief, he recorded 2 strikeouts. Cody Partch had a great game, as he went 3-4, he scored 3 runs and he had 2 RBI’s. Jace Otto went 2-4, walked and he had 2 RBI’s and Luke Sweeter went 2-3, he scored 2 runs, walked and he had a RBI. Jonah Nebosis went 2-3, scored a run and he had 3 RBI’s and Rob Voshell went 1-3, scored a run, 2 walks and he had a RBI. Tim Burns went 2-5 and Adam Schellinger went 2-4, scored 3 runs and  walked. Mike Ashwill was the pitcher of record for the Joes, he threw 3 innings, he gave up 6 hits, walked 2 and he recorded 1 strikeout, he surrendered 5 runs. Sartell Muskies 6  Foley Lumberjacks 5   (Sartell 6/14)

The Muskies pulled a close game out in the bottom of the ninth inning, after a pair of walks Jace Otto got a walk off base hit. Max Koprek was the starting pitcher and he went 5 innings, gave up 5 hits, walked 5, surrendered 5 runs and he had 3 strikeouts. Mack threw 3 2/3 innings of very strong relief, giving up just two hits. Cody Partch got the win by getting the last out of the ball game.  Tim Burns was one of the big leaders on the Muskie offense, he went 3-4 with a 2 run homer and a walk on the day. Adam Schellinger had a great day going 2-3 with a home run and a double for 2 RBI’s. Brian Schellinger went 1-4 scored a run and he walked once, Jake Sweeter went 1-5 and Rob Voshel went 1-3. Mitch Keeler was the starting pitcher for the Lumberjacks, he scattered 9 hits, walked 1 and he surrendered 5 runs. Sam Keeler was the pitcher of record as he gave up the 2 walks and the single in the 9th. Tony Stay went 2-4 with 2 RBI’s and Mitch Keeler went 1-5 with a double and a RBI. The Joes topped Sauk Valley League rival the Lumberjacks behind the pitching efforts of Josh Wood. Josh started, he threw 6 1/3 innings, he gave up just 3 hits, walked 3 and he surrendered 3 runs. Alex Kendell earned the save with 2 2/3 innings of relief, he gave up 2 hits, walked 5, surrendered 2 runs and he recorded 5 strikeouts. Ben Bierschied went 2-3 with a double, he scored 2 runs and had a RBI and Caz Novak went 2-4 and he scored a run. R. J. Alpers went 1-4, walked and he had 2 big RBI’s and Aaron Rocheleau went 1-2 with a double and 2 big RBI’s. Avon Lakers 3  St. Stephen 1  (St. Stephen 6/13)

The Lakers remained unbeaten in the Victory League South with a win over their rival the Steves. They were led by the pitching of Kyle Collins, he threw 7 innings, gave up just 3hits, he walked 3 and he had 5 strikeouts. Cody Stich threw 1 1/3 innings of relief, he gave up one run, 3 hits and he walked 1. Adam Harlander earned the save as he retired 2 batters to preserve the win for the Lakers. Veteran Rick Hendrickson went 1-3 with a double and a sacrifice fly for a RBI. Steady Matt Meyer went 1-3 with a walk and a RBI and Adam Harlander went 1-4 with a double and a RBI. Tony Schoenberg went 1-4 and he scored a run and Zac Tomsche went 1-4 and scored a run. Riley and Reed Voit both went 1-3, walked and scored a run. Nick Krippner was the pitcher of record for the Steves, He threw 5 innings, gave up 6 hits, walked 2 and he recorded 5 strikeouts, he surrendered 3 runs. Blake Guggenberger threw 4 innings of solid relief, he gave up just 1 hit and he recorded 3 strikeouts. Bo Schmitz continues to be a spark plug for the Steves, he walked and had a sacrifice fly to drive in the Steves only run. Cody Wolhart went 2-3 and he scored their lone run. Alex Omann, Austin Guggenberger, Brandon Waldvogel, Blake Guggenberger all had a base hit for the Steves. 

Lastrup Lakers 9  Holdingford Express 4   (Holdingford 6/13)

The Express dropped a Victory League game to the Lakers as they came up short 9-4. Ryan Szymanski was the pitcher of record, he threw 5 innings, he gave up 8 hits, issued 5 walks and recorded 3 strikeouts, he surrendered 7 runs. Nate Brinker threw 2 innings, gave up 2 hits, 2 runs and he had a strikeout. Jeremy Springer threw 2 innings of relief, he issued 3 walks and he had a strikeout. Derek Theilen led the Express offense as he went 2-3 with a double, walked, score 2 runs and he had a RBI. Derek Bieniek went 1-4 with a double and he scored a run and Blaine Feia went 1-3 with a RBI. The Lakers topped Victory League foe behind a committee of pitchers, Ryan Morse started and was pitcher of record. He threw 5 innings, scattered 6 hits, walked 1, surrender 5 runs. Cody Stich threw 2 innings of relief, Tony Schoneberg threw one innings of relief and Adam Harlander also threw one inning of relief. Carter Holthaus had a big game, he went 2-2, with 2 walks, 2 stolen bases and 2 runs scored.  Rick Hendrickson went 1-3, walked twice and scored a run. Caleb Curry went 1-5 with a double, walked, 3 big stolen bases and he scored 2 runs. Riley Voit went 1-3, walked twice, he had 2 stolen bases and he scored 2 times. Zac Tomsche went 1-3, walked, scored a run and he had 2 RBI’s. Reed Voit went 1-3 with 2 walks and a run scored and Cody Stich went 1-4, he walked and scored a run. The Express topped Victory League rival the Saints behind the pitcher efforts of Derek Thielen. He threw a complete game for the win, he scattered 10 hits, walked 7, surrendered 6 runs and had recorded an amazing 16 strikeouts. Derek Biniek went 2-5 with a double, stolen base and he scored 2 runs. Ian Hoffarth went 2-4, scored a run and he had a RBI and Blaine Feia went 2-5 with a RBI. Jeremy Springer went 1-5, scored a run and he had a stolen base and Ryan Szymanski walked and scored a run. John Pogatchnik was the starting pitcher for the Saints, he threw 8 innings, scattered 9 hits, walked one, surrendered 6 runs and record 3 strikeouts. Nick Konz was the pitcher of record as he gave up a walk and 2 hits. Lee Maciej had a home run for 4 big RBI’s and Beau Maciej went 2-6 with a RBI. The Steves dropped a game to Victory League foe Brewers with Troy Monson being the pitcher of record as he threw 2 innings. The Steves starter Andy Stolt went 6 innings. Bo Schmitz had another big day for the Steves, he had a home run for 2 RBI’s and Ben Omann went 2-5 with 3 RBI’s. Sam Neeser went 2-6, Jason Slivnik went 2-5

The Saints dropped a Victory League game to the Billygoats, Jake Beckuis was the pitcher of record for the Saints as he threw 4 innings and Kyle Jarnot threw 4 innings of relief. John Pogatchnik had a great day, he went 3-5 and scored a run and Trevor VaHeel went 1-3 with a RBI. Hunter Bloomer went 1-4, Brent VanHeel went 1-4 and Dylan Bloomer went 1-4.

The Royals topped the Cubs of the Stearns County North behind the excellent pitching effort of Andy Bauer. He threw all 9 innings, he scattered 5 hits, had no walks and he recorded 9 strikeouts. Cole Schmitz provided much of the Royals offense as he hit a 2 run homer in the bottom the 1st inning.

Cold Spring Springers 9  Fort Ripley Rebels 5  (Cold Spring 6/10)

The Springers topped the Rebels of the Victory League North, in a very entertaining game. The Rebels come in riding high with their win over State Class C champions Sobieski and they are sitting at 5-1 in the league. Chris Butala was the starting pitcher for the Springers, he threw 3 2/3 innings, he gave up 8 hits walked 1 and surrendered 5 runs. Justin Thompson got credit with the win as he threw 5 1/3 innings of relief, he gave up just 1 hit, walked 2 and he had 4 strikeouts. Justin continues to pitch very well in relief. Drew Van Loy had a big night with the bat, as he went 2-5 with a double, he scored a run and he had 3 RBI’s. Justin Thompson, Mr. Versatile went 3-4 with a walk and a RBI and Alex Jungels went 2-4 and he scored a run. Joe Dempsey went 1-4, he score a run and he had 2 RBI’s, Jeron Terres went 2-3, scored a run and he had a RBI and Zach Femrite went 1-5 with a triple and a RBI.

The Springers topped the Royals in a very well played ball game, behind the awesome pitching performance of Drew VanLoy, he battled for all 9 innings, he gave up 6 hits, walked 1 and he recorded 10 strikeouts. Drew also did it with the bat, as he a sacrifice fly to drive in the Springer first run of the game in the 7th inning. Alex Jungels also had a huge hit in the bottom of the 8th inning, as he delivered a double to drive in the second run of game, he also had a nice sacrifice early in the game. Joe Dempsey went 2-3 with a walk, Ryan Holthaus went 1-3, walked and he a stolen base and Garrett Fuchs went 1-5 with a stolen base. Ben Griffin went 1-3, Tyler Geislinger went 1-4 and scored a run and Zach Femrite walked 3 times and scored a run. For the Royals, starting pitcher Luke Jokela was brilliant as he threw 6 innings, scattering 4 hits and he recorded 8 big strikeouts. What got Luke in trouble is that he walked 6 Springer batters. Adam Backes took the loss in relief, he threw 3 innings, gave up 3 hits and walked just 1. Scott Ruegemer had a big night for the Royals as he went 3-4, Cory Niewind went 1-4, Dusty Adams went 1-4 and Kyle Budde went 1-4.

The Bees topped the Bucks in extra innings, behind a committee of pitchers, Joel Martin started and threw 3 innings, gave up 3 hits, 2 walks, 2 runs and had a strikeout. Paul Augustinack went 3 1/3, he gave up 4 runs, Blake Eller the pitcher of record threw 2 2/3 innings of relief, he scattered 5 hits and Tim Martin earned the save with 2 innings of nearly perfect relief. Tom Fairbanks led the Bees with a 2-5 performance, he had double and 3 big RBI’s. Hanson Devine went 2-4 and Joel Martin went 3-6 and he scored 2 runs. Allen Jevnig went 1-5, Paul Augustinack went 1-4 and Tim Martin went 1-1, scored a run and he walked 3 times.

Lastrup Lakers 3  Brainerd Bees 2  (Brainerd 6/10)

The Bees dropped a close one to Victory League rival Lastrup in a very close ball game. Tim Martin was the pitcher of record, he threw 8 innings, scattered 8 hits, walked 1 and he surrendered 3 runs and recorded 4 strikeouts. Paul Augustinack went 2-5 with a double and Tom Fairbanks had a triple and a RBI. Troy Lenz had a RBI and Joel Martin went 2-4 with a sacrifice bunt.

Monticello Polecats 3  Sauk Rapids 2  (Sauk Rapids 6/10)

The Cyclones dropped a game to the Polecats; the pitcher of record was Bryce Gapinski, he threw 8 innings, scattered 8 hits and he record 4 strikeouts and Nate Friehammer threw 1 inning of relief. Dave Kroger went 1-4 with a double, Joel Haller went 1-3 with a RBI and Tyler Long went 1-4 and he scored a run. Adam Wippler and Charlie Oltz both went 1-4 and Paul Schlangen walked 2 times.

Cold Spring Springers 8 Nimrod Gnats 5  (Cold Spring 6/14)

The Springers topped Lake and Pine foe the Gnats, behind the great pitching effort by Jack Arnold.  He threw 8 innings, gave up just 2 hits, walked 2, surrendered 1 run and he had two strikeouts. Tyler Geislinger closed out the 9th inning, he had some control issues as he gave up 4 late runs. Justin Thompson, went 1-2 with a 2 run homer and he walked 2 times, Eric Loxtercamp went 2-5 with 2 RBI’s and he scored a run. Garrett Fuchs went 2-3 and he scored 2 runs, Nate Hinkemeyer was 1-1 with 2 RBI’s. Zach Hinkemeyer went 1-4, Ben Griffin went 1-1 and Jeron Terres went 1-3 and he scored a run.

Bemidij Bucks  1   St. Cloud Beaudreau’s Saints 0

The Saints faced a tough Buck’s pitcher, he threw a no-no (No Hitter), Brad Haag was the pitcher of record for the Saints, he threw 6 innings, walked 3, gave up just 2 hits and he recorded 8 strikeouts.

St. Cloud Beaudreau’s Saints 9 St. Augusta Gussies 1  (St. August 6/10)

Lefty Nick Denny threw a 1 hitter, issued 4 walks and he recorded 11 strikeouts against the Gussies. Ryan Schneider went 2-3 with 2 RBI’s and Nick Hengel went 3-5 for the Saints. Brian Minks, Dave Carlson and D. J. Schleicher all went 2-5 and Nick Maiers went 2-4. Tom Imholte, Dan Kronenberg and Ryne Gregory all had base hits for the Saints. Marcus Lommel got the lone hit for the Gussies and Aaron Fruth was the pitcher of record for the Gussies.

St. Nickolas Nicks 13  Farming Flames 10  (St. Nickolas 6/10)

The Nicks topped the Flames of the Stearns County League in a wild game, with a total of 23 runs scored. Kevin Drontle was the starting pitcher for the Nicks, he threw 7 innings and Travis Hanson earned the win with 2 innings of relief, he gave up 2 hits and he had 2 strikeouts. Nate Theilen went 2-5, Matt Schott went 1-2, Alex Faber went 1-5, Hunter Ahrens went 2-4, Derek Kuechle went 2-4, Tanner Anderson went 2-5, Jeff Lutgen went 1-4 and Travis Hanson went 1-3.

SPOONER, WISCONSIN TOURNAMENT GAMES (7 Innings)

Bay City, Wisconsin 5  Litchfield Blues 4    (Spooner, Wis. 6/13)

The Litchfield Blues took the weekend off from Sauk Valley play and they traveled to Spooner, Wisconsin to play in a tournament. The Blues took on Bay City, Wisconsin in their first game on Saturday and they came up just short 5-4. Three errors cost the Blues the ballgame, Kaleb Kalkbrenner had tough luck, after pitching a strong game. He scattered 4 hits, walked 3 and he recorded 6 strikeouts and he surrendered 5 runs of which only one was earned. The Blues had taken the lead in the top of the seventh only to allow them to score 2 runs, on 2 errors, a walk and a hit. Lucas Johnson went 1-3 with RBI, Toby Chellin went 1-3 with a double and Dan Hicks went 1-2 with a RBI. Josh Johnson went 1-3, Austin Larson went 1-2 and Mike Hicks went 1-2 with a RBI.

Spooner Bandits 10  Litchfield Blues 0  (Spooner, Wis. 6/13)

The Blues had four pitchers throw against the Bandits, but they could not slow them down. They only got two hits by: Matt Sprieter and Josh Johnson.

St. Paul Twin City Saints 5   Litchfield Blues 3  (Spooner, Wis. 6/13)

This ball game was tied going into the bottom of the 6th and the Saints scored 2 runs to take the lead. Tyler Kielty the Blues starting pitcher, threw a good game, he gave up 4, 3 walks and 3 runs, 2 were earned. Josh Johnson was the pitcher of record, as he gave up 2 hits. Toby Chellin had a good game, he went 2-3 with a double and a RBI. Josh Johnson went 1-3 with a double and a RBI and Matt Spreiter went 1-3.

Freeport Blacksox 8 Prior Lake Mudcats 3  (7 Innings) (Maple Lake 6/12)

The Blacksox behind the pitching of Mitch Reller topped the Mudcats, he threw a complete game, allowing just 5 hits, walked 2 and he recorded 5 strikeouts. The Sox’s pounded out 13 hits, led by Johnny Benson, he went 1-4 with 3 RBI’s and Eric Evelsage went 2-4 with 2 RBI’s. Mitch Waldvogel went 2-4 with a RBI and Ryan Tschida went 2-4 with a RBI. Ike Sawyer went 2-4 with a RBI, Carter Sawyer went 1-3 and Mike Frericks went 2-3 with a stolen base.

Sartell Stone Poneys 4  Kimball Express 2  (7 Innings) (Kimball 6/11)

The Poneys topped the Express behind the pitching of lefty Jeff Amann, He threw 7 innings, scattered 5 hits, walked 1 and surrendered 2 runs, he had 6 strikeouts. Rob Gabrielson had a big game, he went 3-4 with 3 run home run and Sean Tillman went 1-3 with double, he walked and he had a RBI. Jake Wenzel went 2-3, Spencer Timm went 2-3 and he scored a run. Jim Gabrielson went 2-4, Austin Timm went 1-3, he score 2 runs and he walked and Jeff Amann went 1-4. The Express were playing short-handed as 5 members of the team were at the State High School baseball tournament. Andy Dingmann was the pitcher of record for the Express, he threw a complete game. Brooks Marquardt went 2-3 with a double and a RBI and Scott Marquardt went 1-3 with a RBI.

Raymond Rockets 7  Kimball Express 2  (7 Innings)  (Kimball 6/13)

The Express dropped a game to regional rival the Rockets, once again playing very short handed, they brought a pitcher out of retirement to start the game and Tom Marquardt their manager played a major portion of the game. Pat Arnold was the pitcher of record as he threw 3 innings and Zach Kuefler threw 4 innings of good relief. Kyle Winter led the Express, he went 2-4 with a RBI and Brian Marquardt went 1-4 with a double and a RBI. Austin Ruehle went 1-3, Tory Savage went 1-3 and Zach Kuefler went 1-3 with a walk. 

Champlin Logars 16  Sartell Stone Poneys 6  (7 Innings) (Kimball 6/13)

The Poneys played short handed and it turned into an ugly game on and off the field. Steven Fish was the pitcher of record for the Poneys and Brandon Reinking threw 2 innings of relief. Jim Garbrielson went 2-3, scored 2 runs, walked and he had a RBI and Pat Dolan went 1-1 with a RBI and he walked 4 times. Sean Tillman went 1-4, scored a run and he had a RBI, Jeff Amann went 1-2 with a RBI and he walked and Jake Wenzel went 1-3, scored 3 runs and he walked twice.

Fairmont Martins 7  Freeport Blacksox 6  (10 Innings) (Maple Lake 6/13)

The Blacksox were up going into the bottom of the 10th and Mike Frericks gave up the tying  and the winning run of two hits. Nate Winter was the starter for the Sox’s he threw 1 inning and then entered Carter Sawyer, he threw 8 innings very good innings of relief, he gave up just 3 hits and he had one strikeout. Eric Eveslage had a great game, he went 3-5 with 3 doubles and he scored 3 runs and Ryan Tschida went 2-4 with a double, sacrifice bunt and 2 RBI’s. Nate Klaphake had a big game for the Sox’s, he went 3-5 with a double, scored a run and he had a RBI. Seth Noll want 1-4 with a RBI and Mike Frerichs went 1-4 with a walk. Ike Sawyer went 1-3, scored a run and he had a RBI and Mitch Waldvogel went 1-3 and he scored a run.

Freeport Blacksox  2   Eden Valley Hawks 1  (7 Innings)  (Kimball 6/13)

Crafty Veteran Rob Mettenberg, threw all 7 innings to earned the win for the Blacksox. The Blacksox scored 2 runs in the top of the 7th inning, player-manager Nate Klaphake had a walk off double for the Sox’s. Dan Hanson was the tough luck pitcher of record for the Hawks.
