Cold Spring Springers 8   Sauk Rapids Cyclones 2 (Sauk Rapids 6/7)

The Springers topped their league rival, the Cyclones behind the pitching performances of Zach Femrite and Justin Thompson. Zach threw 7 innings, he scattered 4 hits, walked 2, 2 runs and he recorded 5 strikeouts. Justin Thompson threw 2 very good innings of relief, he recorded 4 strikeouts and he gave up a base hit. The offense was led by Justin Thompson, he went 3-5 with a double, he scored a run and he had 3 big RBI’s. Joe Dempsey went 2-4, with a double and a RBI and Ryan Holthaus went 2-5 with a double and a RBI. Garrett Fuchs went 2-5 and Jeron Terres went 1-3 and he scored a run. Zach Hinkemeyer went 1-3 with a double, Chris Butala went 1-1 with a double and he score a run and Zach Femrite walked, had 1 sacrifice and he scored a run. Andy Thayer was the pitcher of record for the Cyclones, he gave up 7 hits, walked 2 and gave up 4 runs. Charlie Oltz threw 4 innings of relief, he gave up 6 hits, walked 2, recored 5 strikeouts and he gave up 4 runs. Tyler Long, Scott Geiger, Matt Meyer, Paul Schlangen, and Jesse LeVoi all had base hits for the Cyclones.

St. Cloud Beadreau’s Saints 11   Brainerd Bees 1  (8 Innings)  (St. Cloud 6/5)

The Saints pounded out 17 hits as they topped the Bees, led by Nick Maiers as he went 4-5 with a double and 4 RBI’s. Ryan Schneider went 4-4 he had a triple, scored 2 runs and he had a RBI. Brad Haag went 2-3 with a double for 2 big RBI’s and Jeff Fasching went 2-4 with a double, scored a run and he had a RBI. Nick Hengel went 2-2 with a double and 2 RBI’s, Tom Imholte went 1-5 and he had a stolen base and Dave Carlson went 1-3. Jeff Fasching was the pitcher of record, he threw 7 innings, he gave up just 2 hits, walked 5 and he recorded 11 strikeouts and Chris Koenig threw 1 inning of relief. The pitcher of record for the Bees was Burrell Flanagan. Tom Fairbanks, and Bryce Flanagan both got base hits for the Bees.

The Clippers were led by Kevin Kramer, he went 3-5 with a double and scored a run and a stolen base, Adam Hiltner went 1-3 with huge double for 2 RBI’s. Travis Linn went 1-4, Gary Peters went 1-4 and Lincoln Haugen went 1-2 with a walk. Matt Geislinger pitched a complete game, he scattered 7 hits, walked 3 and he record 9 strikeouts. Zach Dingmann was the pitcher of record for the Express. He threw 6 innings, gave up 7 hits, walked 2 and he had 6 strikeouts. Andy Dingmann threw 1 inning of relief and Ben Johnson threw 2 innings and he recorded 3 strikeouts. Brooks Marquardt went 2-5 with a double and Scott Marquardt went 2-4, he walked and a RBI. Adam Beyer went 2-5 with a RBI and Zach Kuefler went 1-4.

Cold Spring Rockies 7  Kimball Express 6  (Kimball 6/6)

The Rockies scored 7 runs in the 7th inning and they held off the Express for a big CVL win. John Rossman was the Rockies starting pitcher, he threw 6 2/3 innings, scattered 7 hits, walked 3 and surrendered 3 runs. Chris Lardy was the pitcher of record, he gave up 4 hits and 3 runs in 2 1/3 innings. Reese Hemmesch had a big day, he went 2-4 with 3 big RBI’s and Rick Burtzel went 3-4 with a double and a RBI. David Jonas went 2-4 with, walk, scored a run and a RBI, Marshall Wirtzfield went 1-5 with a RBI and Calvin Kolthoff went 1-3 with a walk and he scored a run. Matt Dingmann was the pitcher of record for the Express, he gave up 6 hits, walked 2, surrendered 3 runs and he recorded 4 strikeouts. Andy Dingmann threw  2/3 of a inning and Zach Kuefler threw 2 innings, gave up 2 hits and he recorded 3 strikeouts.  Kyle Winter went 2-4 with a double and 3 big RBI’s and Adam Beyer went 2-4, he had a double and a RBI. Jordan Joseph had another great day, as he went 3-4 with 2 RBI’s and Brooks Marquardt went 2-5 and he scored a run. Scott Marquardt went 1-4 walked and scored a run, Austin Ruehle went 1-3, Ben Johnson went 1-3, walked and scored a run and Zach Kuefler went 1-4.

Luxemburg Brewers 5  St. Nicholas Nicks 2   (Luxemburg 6/6)

The Brewers topped league rival Nicks behind the pitching of Mitch Ergen, he threw 7 innings. He scattered 4 hits, walked 3 and he struck out 7.  Austin Klaverkamp threw 2 innings of relief, he gave up 3 hits, walked 1 and he had a strikeout. Derrick Orth had another great day, he went 2- with 2 solo home runs. Mitch Ergen went 1-3 with a double and a RBI and Austin Klaverkamp went 1-4 with a RBI. Jon Hofer was the pitcher of record for the Nicks, he threw 7 innings, he gave up 5 hits, and he recorded 6 strikeouts. Kevin Drontle threw 1 inning of relief for the Nicks. Travis Hanson went 3-4, John Hofer went 2-4 with a double, Joe Wehlege went 1-2 and Hunter Ahrens went 1-4 for the Nicks offense.

Luxemburg Brewers 6   Eden Valley Hawks 4  (Luxemburg 6/7)

The Brewers were led by Luke Harren’s grand slam and double, as he had 4 big RBI’s to topped CVL rival Hawks. Isaac Matchinsky threw 8 Innings, he gave up just 3 hits, walked 4 and he record 5 strikeouts. Darren Kiffmeyer went 2-4 with a double, Colton Fruth went 2-4 and Isaac Matchinsky went 1-3 with a walk. Dan Hanson was the pitcher of record for the Hawks, he threw 7 innings, gave up 8 hits, walked 1 and he recorded 2 strikeouts. Dan Hanson, Matthew Pennertz and Hayden Willner all had hits for the Hawks.

Eden Valley Hawks 4   St. Nicholas Nicks 3  (Eden Valley 6/5)

The Hawks were led by the pitching of Nathan Geislinger, he threw 6 1/3 innings, scattered 9 hits, walked 1 and he record 6 strike outs. Dan Hanson got credit with the win, he threw 2 2/3 of relief, he gave up 1 hit and he record 5 big strikeouts. Chad Hesse, Nathan Geislinger, Hayden Willner, Dan Hanson and Austin Schlangen all got hits for the Hawks. Derrick Kuechle was the Nicks starting pitcher and Matt Soloner was the pitcher of record.  Travis Hanson went 3-5, Jeff Lutgen went 2-3 and Nate Theilen went 2-4 with a double.

The Muskies topped the Blues, behind the pitching of Adam Wenker and Travis Weaver. Adam threw 7 innings, scattered 8 hits, walked 2, surrendered 4 runs and he recorded 4 strikeouts. Travis gave up 3 hits, walked 1 and he recorded 1 strikeout in 2 innings of relief. Jake Sweeter had a big day, he went 3-5 with a double and 4 RBI’s and Andrew Deters went 4-5 with a stolen base, and 1 RBI.  Brian Schellinger went 2-3 with 2 doubles, and he scored 3 runs and Tim Burns went 3-5 with a stolen base and a RBI. Adam Schellinger went 1-3, he walked twice, had a stolen base and scored a run and Tyler Zelinski went 1-5 with a sacrifice. Dylan Koll was the pitcher of record for the Blues, he threw 6 innings and Kal Volinkaty threw 3 innings of relief. The Muskies topped league rival Lakers, behind Max Koprek pitching performance. Max threw 7 innings, he gave up just 2 hits, walked 3 and he recorded 10 strikeouts. John Schumer threw 1 inning of relief and Grant Mackenthun threw 1 inning of relief, he recorded 2 strikeouts. Tim Burns went 3-5 with a double, walk, a stolen base and he scored 2 runs. Jace Otto went 2-3, he had 2 stolen bases, walked twice, scored 2 runs and he had a RBI. Andrew Deters went 1-4, with a double, walk, scored a run and a RBI, Jake Sweeter went 1-4 and Paul Schumer went 1-5 with a RBI. Justin Mohs was the pitcher of record for the Lakers. St. Joseph Joes  9   Foley Lumberjacks 1 (Foley 6/6)

The Joes topped the league foe Lumberjacks behind the pitching of Josh Wood, Alex Kendall and Ethan Carlson. Josh went 5 1/3 innings, he scattered  hits, walked 5, gave up a run and he recorded 2 strikeouts. Alex Kendall went 1 2/3 innings, walked one and he struck out 2 and Ethan Carlson went 2 innings, walked 3, gave up 2 hits and recorded a strikeout. Alex Kendall led the Joes offense, he went 3-4 with a double, 2 walks, scored a run and he had 2 RBI’s. Brandon Bloch went 2-2, scored 2 runs, 2 walks and he had a RBI and Caz Novak went 2-5 and he scored 2 runs. Ethan Carlson went 1-5, scored a run, walked and had a RBI and Aaron Rocheleau went 1-6 with a double and a RBI. The Joes topped the Lakers as they pounded 14 hits for their second league win of the week. Mike Ashwill threw a complete game, he scattered 6 hits, gave a run and he recorded 3 strikeouts. Ben Alvord went 3-4 with 2 RBI’s, and Alex Kendall went 2-4 with 2 doubles, scored 2 runs and he had 2 RBI’s. Ethan Carlson went 2-4, scored 2 runs and he had a RBI and Brandon Bloch went 2-4 with a RBI. Eric Vigil went 2-4  with 2 RBI’s and Aaron Rochleau went 1-3, score 2 runs and he had a RBI. R. J. The Blues topped the Lumberjacks behind the pitching efforts by Kaleb Kalkbrenner. He threw a complete game, scattered 5 hits, walked 1 and he had 3 strikeouts. Josh Johnson went 2-4 with a double and a RBI, Austin Larson went 2-4 with a RBI and Tyler Kielty went 1-2 with a RBI. Riley Johnson went 1-4 with RBI, Derek Koll went 2-4, Eric Hulterstrum went 1-4 and Dylan Koll went 1-4. Mitch Keeler was the pitcher of record for the Lumberjacks, he gave up 5 hits, walked 2 and he had 4 strikeouts. Cameron Jurik threw 1 inning of relief and crafty veteran Mike Beier threw two perfect innings of relief. The Lakers topped rival Blacksox’s behind the pitcher efforts of Ryan Morse, Kyle Collins and Adam Harlander. Ryan threw 4 innings, gave up 6 hits, walked 1, gave  up 3 runs and recorded 2 strikeouts. Kyle threw 3 innings, gave up 5 hits, walked 1 and he gave up 3 runs and he recorded 3 strikeouts and Adam threw 2 innings to earned the save, he recorded 4 strikeouts. Rick Hendrickson went 2-5, he scored 1 run, had a stolen base and 1 RBI and Caleb Curry went 1-3, scored 1 run, stolen base, 2 walks and a big triple. Riley Voit went 1-4, scored 1 run, stolen base and a RBI and Matt Meyer Meyer went 1-4. Reed Voit went 1-4, he had a double, scored a run and he had a RBI and Ryan Morse went 1-4 with a RBI. The Lakers topped the Brewers for their second win of the day, behind the pitching of Cody Stich. He threw 7 innings, scattered 4 hits, walked 2, gave up 2 and he record 6 strikeouts. Troy Wunderlich threw 2 innings of relief, he gave up 2 hits, walked 2 and he had 1 strikeout. Riley Voit went 2-5 with a double and Reed Voit went 2-3 with a walk, he scored 2 runs and he had a RBI. The Blacksoxs topped league rival Steves behind the solid pitching performance by Mitch Reller. Mitch threw a complete game, he scattered 5 hits, walked 5 and he recorded 5 strikeouts. Troy Frieler went 2-4 and he scored 2 runs and Eric Eveslage went 2-4 with a double. Ike Sawyer 2-4 with a double and a RBI and Mike Frericks went 1-4, walked and scored a run. Grant Hess went 1-3, walked and scored a run and Carter Sawyer went 1-3 and he walked. Nick Krippner was the pitcher of record for the Steves, he threw 7 innings, gave up 8 hits, walked 4 and he struck out 7. Bo Schmitz went 2-4, walked twice, scored 3 runs and he had a home run. Jason Slivnik went 3-3 with 3 RBI’s and Ben Omann went 2-6 with double and he scored 4 runs. The Express dropped a close game to the Brewers, Derek Thielen threw a complete game, scattering 6 hits, walked 2 and he struck out 6.   Blaine Feia went 2-3 walked and scored a run and Derek Thielen went 1-4 with a double and a RBI.

The Blacksoxs were led by a crafty veteran pitching performance, Rob Mettenburg threw a complete game. Rob scattered 10 hits, walked 4 and he recorded 2 strikeouts to earn the win. He did have a great deal of support from the Blacksox’s offense. Ryan Tschida had a great night, he went 2-4 with 2 doubles, 3 stolen bases and he had 2 RBI’s. Rookie Seth Noll went 2-4, he walked twice, had 3 stolen bases, scored 4 times and he had 2 RBI’s. Nate Klaphake went 2-4, he score a run and he had a RBI, Grant Hess went 1-4 with a RBI. Eric Eveslage went 1-4 with a RBI and Jon Benson went 1-5 with a double for 2 RBI’s.

The Rockies topped the Flames of the Stearns County League, Tyler McElwee started and went 3 innings and Jeff Lindbloom threw 6 innings. David Jonas had a grand slam early in the game and Calvin Kalthoff went 1-4 with a big 2 run home run. Marshall Wirtzfield went 2-4, with a double, walk and he scored 4 runs and had 1 RBI. Mason Ruegemer went 2-3, 2 walks, scored 1 run and he had a RBI and Kirby Tebrake went 1-5 with a RBI.

St. Cloud Beadreau’s Saints 17 Richmond Royals 4  (7 Innings)  (Richmond 6/6)

The Beadreau’s pounded the ball around the park in their win over the Royals of the Stearns County League. Behind Ryan Schneider, he went 5-5 with a grand slam and a 2 run home run for 10 big RBI’s.  Brian Minks went 2-4 with 2 doubles and 3 RBI’s and Dave Carlson went 2-3 with a double and 2 RBI’s. Tom Imholt went 2-4, scored 3 runs and he walked and Nick Henkel went 2-3. Nick Denny was the starting pitcher for the Saints,  he threw 2 innings, Brad Haag threw 3 innings, Nick Maiers threw 1 inning and Ryan Schnieder closed it out with 1 inning of relief. Jordan Neu, Alec Anderson and Jared Fogelson all pitched for the Royals last Saturday. Dusty Adams went 2-3, Cory Niewind went 2-3 with a double, Alec Anderson went 1-3, Mason Grete went 1-2 and Jordan Neu walked and scored a run.

Sauk Rapids Cyclones 4   Opole Bears 3  (11 innings) (Sauk Rapids 6/5)

The Cyclones topped the Bears from the Victory League in a 11 innings affair.  Nate Friehammer was the starting pitcher, he went 6 2/ 3innings, scattered 5 hits, gave up 3 runs and he recorded 6 strikeouts. David Kroger earned the win with 5 1/3 innings of relief, he gave up 2 hits, walked one and he had 9 strikeouts. Paul Schlangen went 2-4, with a run scored and he walked, Joel Haller, walked and he scored a run. Tyler Long went 1-5 with a walk and Derrick Cagle went 2-4 with a walk and he score.

New London-Spicer Twins 11 Litchfield Blues 9  (11 Innings) (Litchfield 6/3)

The Blues dropped a tight game to the Twins from the County Line League in 11 Innings. Eric Hulterstrum went 2-5, with a RBI, Tyler Kielty went 1-2 with a RBI and Josh Johnson went 1-4 with a RBI. Riley Johnson went 1-4 with a double, Lucas Johnson went 1-1, Terry Euerle went 1-6 with a RBI, Kal Volinkaty went 1-5 with a RBI, Jake Johnson went 1-5 with a double, Carson Deal went 2-5 Matt Spreiter and Derek Koll both had a RBI.

Raymond Rockets 6  Cold Spring Springers 5 (11 Innings) (Raymond 6/5)

The Springers went 11 innings with Corn Belt League foe, Jack Arnold was the starting pitcher for the Springers, he threw 8 innings, scattered 8 hits, gave up 4 runs, and he recorded 2 strikeouts. Chris Butala was the pitcher of record, he threw 3 innings, he gave up 3 hits, 1 walk and 2 runs, he had a strikeout. Joe Dempsey went 1-5 with a 3 run home run and he had a sacrifice. The Lakers fell just short in the game with the Bears, Jon Harlander was the pitcher of record. He threw 5 innings, scattered 8 hits, walked 2 and he a strikeout. Dylan Panek and Riley Voit threw an inning of relief. Rick Henderson went 1-4 with a stolen base and a run scored, Dylan Panek went 1-2, with a stolen base, 2 walks and he scored 2 runs. Riley Voit went 1-4 and Adam Harlander went 1-2 with a walk.

New Munich Silver Streaks 10  Pearl Lake Lakers 9  (Pearl Lake 6/5)

The Lakers came up short against their Stearns County foe, Tommy Linn had a very good game, as he went 3-6 with a double and he scored 2 runs. Preston Peglow went 2-4 and he scored 2 runs, Andy Linn went 1-3 with a RBI, Tim Voigt went 1-2 with a RBI and Steve Krippner had a home run.

The Gussies topped Lake and Pine foe the Gnats, with Travis Laudenbach earning the pitching win.
