St. Augusta Gussies 6 Pearl Lake Lakers 2

The Gussies topped the Lakers behind the solid pitching effort by Travis Laudenbach. He threw a complete game, scattering 5 hits, he walked 3 and he recorded 2 strikeouts. They were led by Brady Graft as he hit two home runs for 3 big RBI’s and Dusty Schultzenberg went 2-5 with his first home run of the season. Aaron Fruth went 1-4 with a double and Matt Skaja went 1-3, he scored 2 runs, walked once and he had a stolen base. Nate Gwost went 1-3 with a walk and Marcus Lommel walked 2 times. Logan Schramel was the pitcher of record for the Lakers as he threw 4 innings, scattered 4 hits, he walked one and he gave up 4 runs. Derek Schlangen threw 2 1/3 innings, he gave up 2 hits and walked 4, Justin Kunkel threw 1 2/3 innings, he gave up a hit, walked one and he recorded 1 strikeout. Steve Krippner went 2-3 with a double and a RBI, Mitch Weinenke went 1-4 with a double and Nick Roeder went 2-3 with a double and a RBI.

Luxemburg Brewers 8 St. August Gussies 4  (5 Innings Rain Out)

The Brewers topped the Gussies behind the pitching effort of Austin Klaverkamp, he threw 5 innings, he scattered 6 hits, recorded 4 strikeouts and he issued no walks. Derek Orth had a great day as he went 3-3 with two home runs, including a 3 run homer for 4 big RBI’s. Luke Harren went 2-3 and he scored a run, Ethyn Fruth went 2-3 and he scored 2 runs and Colton Fruth went 2-4 with one RBI and he scored a run. Aaron Fruth was the pitcher of record, he threw 3 1/3 innings, he gave up 5 hits, recorded 2 strikeouts and  gave up 5 runs. Adam Gwost was the Gussies leader on offense, as he went 2-3 with a big 2 run home run for 2 RBI’s. Nate Laudenbach went 1-2 with a double, he scored a run and walked once, Marcus Lommel went 1-2, he scored a run and walked once. Dustin Schultzenburg went 1-2, he scored a run and he had a stolen base and Adam Benoit went 1-2

The Springers topped the Rockies behind the combined pitching of Zach Femrite and Justin Thompson. Zach threw 4 innings to get credit for the win, he gave up 2 hits, walked one, gave up a run and he recorded 2 strikeouts. Justin threw 5 innings, he gave up 4 hits, 3 runs and he recorded 6 strikeouts. Zach Hinkemeyer went 2-4 and Alex Jungels went 1-3 with a triple and he scored a run. Jack Arnold went 1-3 with 1 RBI, Zach Femrite went 1-2 with 1 RBI and Ben Griffin went 1-2 with 1 RBI. Drew Vanloy, Joe Dempsey and Tyler Geislinger all had a hit and scored 1 run. Chris Butala and Alex Geislinger also each had a base hit for the Springers. Blaine Athmann was the pitcher of record for the Rockies; he threw 6 innings, scattered 9 hits, no walks and he record 1 strikeout. Chris Lardy thew 3 innings of relief, he gave up 3 hits and he recorded 3 strikeouts. Paul Schreiner went 1-4 with a RBI, John Rossman went 1-2 with a RBI and Chris Lardy went 1-2 with a RBI. Mike Ficker went 1-4, he walked once and scored a run, Ryan Bell went 1-4 and scored a run, Reese Hemmesch went 1-4 and he scored a run and Kirby TeBrake went 1-1.

Cold Spring Springers 11 Hutchinson 1 (7 Innings)

The Springers were led by the pitching performances of Chris Butala and Jack Arnold. Chris threw 5 innings, he gave up 2 hits, walked 3 and he record 2 strikeouts. Jack went 2 innings, he gave up 2 hits, walked one and he recorded 3 strikeouts. Tyler Geislinger went 2-3 with a double for 3 big RBI’s, he scored a run and he walked once. Alex Jungels went 1-2 with a double for 3 big RBI’s and Zach Femrite went 2-4 with a solo home run and he had 2 RBI’s. Drew VanLoy went 2-5, Justin Thompson went 2-3, scored 2 runs and walked once. Joe Dempsey went 1-3, he score 2 runs and he walked once.

New London-Spicer Twins 9 Richmond Royals 7

The Twins topped the Royals in non-league action, Jordan Neu was the pitcher of record for the Royals. He gave up 8 hits, walked 3 and he recorded 6 strikeouts. Scott Ruegemer threw 3 innings of relief, he gave up 3 hits and he recorded 1 strikeout. Adam Backes led the Royals offense, as he went 2-5 with a double for 2 RBI’s and Dylan Jude went 2-4 with a RBI.

St. Cloud Beadreaus Saints 8 St. Augusta Gussies 5

The Saints topped the Gussies in non-league action behind the pitching efforts of Phil Imholte and Chris Koenig. Phil was their starting pitcher, he went 4 1/3 innings, he gave up 7 hits, walked 5 and he recorded 2 strikeouts. Chris earned the win with 4 2/3 innings of relief, he walked 1, gave up 2 hits and he recorded 7 strikeouts. Phil Imholte went 3-4 with a double, he scored 2 runs and had a stolen base. Brad Haag went 2-4 with a double and he scored a run and Ryan Schneider went 2-4, walked once and he stole a base. Chad Hockemeyer went 1-3, Jason Kotschevar went 1-4 with 2  big RBI’s, Tom Imholte went 2-4 with a RBI and Nick Hengel went 1-4.  Zach Laudenbach was the pitcher of record for the Gussies, he threw 7 innings, he gave up 10 hits and Nate Laudenbach threw 1 inning of relief. Dusty Schultzenberg went 2-5, Aaron Fruth went 2-5 and Adam Benoit went 2-5 with a RBI. Nate Laudenbach went 1-4 with a RBI, Nate Gwost went 1-5 with a RBI and Marcus Lommel went 1-3 with a RBI.

Sartell Muskies 10 Long Prairie Predators 2 (7 Innings)

The Muskies topped the Predators in part of what was to be the Freeport tournament, only three games were played during the whole weekend. Adam Wenker threw a complete game, he scattered 5 hits, walked 2 and he record 4 strikeouts. Andrew Deters went 2-4 with a double, score 2 runs and he had 2 big RBI’s and Rob Voshell went 2-5, scored a run and had 2 big RBI’s. Jace Otto went 2-4, scored a run and had a RBI, Luke Sweeter went 2-4, scored a run and had 1 RBI and Jake Sweeter went 1-3, he walked twice and he had 2 RBI’s.

Sartell Stone Ponys 4 Fort Ripley Rebels 1

The Ponys were led by several pitchers, Steve Fish was the starting pitcher, he threw 3 innings, walked 2, gave up 1 hit and he recorded 2 strikeouts. Travis Moreno and Brandon Reinking both threw an inning of relief. Jeff Amann threw four innings of relief for the win, he walked 1 and he recorded 4 strikeouts. Sean Tillman went 2-4 with a huge 3 run home run in the bottom of the 8th inning. Jeff Amann went 3-4 with a RBI, Dan Gaughan went 2-4 and Austin Timm went 2-4.

Dassel Cokato Saints  8  Litchfield Blues 2

The Blues dropped a non-league game to the Saints, Mike Hicks was the pitcher of record as the threw 4 innings. He gave up 5 hits, 3 walks, 3 runs and he recorded 1 strikeout. Jacob Johnson threw 2innings, he gave up 2 hits and he record 4 strikeouts. Dylan Koll went 3 innings, he gave up 5 hits and he recorded 3 strikeouts. Josh Johnson went 2-4 with a RBI and Tyler Kielty went 1-3 with a RBI. Lucas Johnson 1-4 and Matt Sprieter went 1-4.

Nisswa Lightning 11 St. Joseph Joes 3

The Lightning of the Victory League North topped the Joes in a non-league game. Ethan Carlson was the pitcher of record for the Joes; he threw 4 innings, he gave up 7 hits, 4 walks and he recorded 2 strikeouts. R. J. Alpers threw 4 innings of relief, he gave up 5 hits, walked two and he had 3 strikeouts. Ethan Carlson went 3-5 with a RBI, stolen base and a run scored. Eric Virgil went 3-4 with a RBI and he walked once. Caz Novak went 2-4, walked and scored a run and Aaron Rocheleau went 2-5. Zack Overboe went 2-5, Brandon Block went 1-3 with a RBI and Dallas Haugan went 1-2, he scored a run, walked and he had a stolen base.

Spring Hill Chargers 5 Freeport Blacksox 1

The Chargers topped the Blacksox’s as part of the Freeport tourney.  Mitch Reller was the pitcher of record for the Sox’s as he threw 5 innings, he gave up 4 hits and he walked 3. Craig Meyer threw 1 inning of relief. Carter Sawyer got the only hit for the Sox’s. Troy Freiler, Nate Mettenberg and Mike Frericks all walked twice.
