Belle Plaine, Quamba, and Maple Lake/Kimball weekend tournaments [SCORES]

Belle Plaine will host the the 17th annual Tigertown Classic June 12-14. Teams competing include Blue Earth, Hayfield, Marshall, Renner (SD), St. Louis Park, Stewartville-Racine, and Union Hill.

Tigertown Classic notes:

  • The Blue Earth Pirates are undefeated coming into the tournament with a record of 7-0. They also received votes in the latest Class C rankings.
  • St. Louis Park is the reigning tournament champions from 2013, as the tournament was not finished last year due to rain.

The Quamba Cubs are ready to host the first annual “Romp in the Swamp” Tournament June 11-14. The teams participating include East Bethel, Braham, Ramsey, Chisago Lakes, Minneapolis Cobras, Monticello, and Nowthen.

Romp in the Swamp notes:

  • The Minneapolis Cobras come into the weekend with a solid 13-5 record.
  • The Monticello Polecats have a record of 7-2.

3rd place: Monticello defeats Ramsey 4-1

Maple Lake and Kimball will host the 2015 Highway 55 12-team tournament June 11-14. The teams include St. Michael, Eden Valley, Raymond, Champlin, Sartell Stone Poneys, Atwater, Starbuck, Staples, Freeport, and the Prior Lake Mudcats.

Highway 55 notes:

  • Host Maple Lake Lakers are ranked No. 6 in Class C with a record of 6-2.
  • The Champlin LoGators received votes in the latest Class B rankings. They have a record of 7-4.
